DS is learning to skateboard. Wondered if this was allowed at FW? Thanks in advance for any input.

I have seen a lot of kids skateboarding. I think you have to follow the bicycle rules and keep them on the sidewalks.

Just back from FW and found out skateboarding is NOT allowed after all. Maybe a new thing? Anyway, just wanted to update everyone. Found out when a CM approached my son to stop...
No worries though, we had a great trip!
We were there in March 2005 and they gave us a full sheet with "Personal Recreational Cart Safety Precautions" -- new this year as we did not get one last year.
Under the heading "Ft Wilderness Recreational Activity Guidelines" it says:
"Skateboards, All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) and motorized dirt bikes may not be used on WDW Resort property."
Additionally for those who might be interested it says:
"Bicycles, electric bicycles, in-line skates, kick-scooters, electric powered scooters, and Electric Personal Assistive Mobility Devices may be operated at Ft. Wilderness. They must be utilized only on sidewalks and paths. At no time may they be used on the roadways."
