OK, I didn't think I'd have to do this......however.........

All commandos take 10 deep breaths and repeat after me:

Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine.
We will go with the flow. We will go with the flow. We will go with the flow.

Good! Now take 10 more deep breaths and go back to your stations.

And I'd better see smiles on those faces! :p

I am surrpounded by post it notes. I have a 7 sheet excel planner up and running. I have changed my hotel ressies more often than some people change their shorts. I dream of Disney plans. My SO honestly thinks that going to DIsney in Nov/Dec will shut me up till our trip in Mar/Apr (I already have 4 pages of excel going for that one). I get tears in my eyes every time I see a WDW commercial.

Steve,
I don't think you are taking this seriously enough, young man!
How can I possibly take time for all that breathing, when I am so busy
keeping track of all the DIS Con info, planning my itinerary, calling for MVMCP tickets,
calling to see if CP tickets are for sale yet, finding the Christmas Decoration boxes in the
attic and basement (Labor Day will be herebefore you know it Tia!:D ), posting on this
site, etc., etc.!!!!:D ;)
Please breathe for me!!! Thanks,

Steve, when you hyper-ventilated and passed out, were you revived by bandit licking your face?!?!? LOL! (I know in my house, anyone at that level is fair game for face licks!!):D

My Xmas decorations will be put up when I get back from the DIS-CON. I will be buying some new x-mas decorations :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: at Disney, you can never have enough! And I will be taking an extra day off to decorate!

I keep trying to plan my days in the world, but there is way too much to do. How can we plan! We need much longer. Where are those change of address cards?

my decorations will be up before I leave! Every time I go to WDW at Christmas, I come home all out of sync. So, if the decorations are up and most of the gifts bought, all I need to do is get the tree, decorate the tree, wrap the gifts, and ship them out to the extended family. :)

Akshally, dear Tia, they really aren't dog licks. They're dog kisses! I've taught Bandit how to give me hugs as well. All I have to say is "Daddy huuuuug" and wherever he is, he'll come up and put his head on my lap. Awwwwww!! You gotta be a dog lover I guess.

I do all my Christmas shopping over the internet or at the last possible second. The icicle lights go up if it's nice the week before Thanksgiving, and I may try to have a tree this year. It's a little dangerous with a labrador in the house! Bandit's tail is a registered lethal weapon....

I prefer dogs over cats (by a l-o-n-g shot!), and although we have 2 dogs, I'm not really a dog lover. BUT! I'm not a dog hater either! ;) ;) ;)

I've always wanted to do wild and crazy decorating in the house, but DH is a bit conservative and wuld think I was nuts! I like bold and bright colors. When we built the house, I was only allowed to pick from certain colors and could only pick 4 colors. Good grief! When you live in PA Dutch country and have to deal with the PA dutch, it makes you want to pull your hair out! They just don't believe in doing anything differently than they've been doing for the past 100 years!! They had a fit when we went with a different company for the kitchen and bathrooms! Someday, I'll have a chance to play with colors. My first project will be making the powder room a Disney powder room!:p :p (Start small and work up)

My Dh is very conservative as well and "beige"walls seem to be the flashiest he can
live with:rolleyes: .
DS has his own bathroom and last year we asked himwhat color he wanted it painted.
After careful consideration (20 seconds) he decided on "night time blue" (he is into
astronomy) with some gold stars painted on (my boy!!!). I thought DH was going to
hurl:D ! Well, it took me a couple of weeks to talk my DH into it, but it got done!
DS loves it, and I do too! DH still doesn't. Oh well..........;)

I was aiming for a 'dusty red' and 'dusty yellow' and 'dusty orange', but it's more of a bright orange-yellow! Like Mickey's shoes!

I've been wanting to do this ever since we moved in (2 1/2 yrs ago! ) but haven't had the nerve......but my best friend just started doing her house....and it looks awesome! So, it inspired me to get started!

Red and orange don't go together....at all. You'll be having nightmares for days. Tia, I love the bathroom! That is great! I would have to work around a pale blue color. That's the color of the little squares in my floor tile and the color of the sink and counter. I'm sure I could come up with something. I had a friend who was going to make her son's bathroom Mickey and she had purchased a Mickey shaped sink, faucets, and mirror. Then, her DH wouldn't let her do it. (they're cabinet/kitchen/bathroom contractors) I really wanted to buy the stuff from her, but Bill thought I was nuts! Our sink and counter are all one piece of onyx. So, we'd have to destroy the counter to put a Mickey sink in. Ok, I guess I see the point. I love the yellow ceiling and can't wait to see the walls! Good luck!

:earseek: Wow! What a great look! From the way you describe it, it should be awful , all those bright colors, but it looks awesome!!!

I love how bright colors are out.

We are in the middle of turning our garage into additional house space. 4 months later, we are almost done. We are going with (not quite so bright) but for beige old me, some different colors. Love it!!

(Tia, love the light house. I just redid the bathroom in lighthouses. Reminds me of Old Saybrook on the shore)

Steve, you have to post your red walls! That must be great.

Okay, when we meet, people need to bring pictures! Definately need to see pictures of the kids (4 legged too!)

And doggies give good kisses. I don't have any slobbery dogs now. (But i do have a weird cat who drools. What's up with that)

I missed being online tonight. :( Gotta get this kitchen painted though. ;)

Jody, my mom gave me those little lighthouse lamps.....and I don't really have a lighthouse theme anywhere, but I bet a bathroom would be a cute idea. They remind ME of the Oregon Coast. :sunny:

And LOL Corinne....my DH started to put up a fuss, then he said; "just tell me where you want me to paint" LOL Beige is very soothing.....I've had many beige and soothing homes.....it's time to jazz this place up a bit!!! :bounce: ;)

Can't wait to see your red rooms Steve. Sounds very exciting! :) :) :)

And yes, they're 9' ceilings downstairs and 8' upstairs.

Already had to take the 'orange' back and get a darker color......it came out Salom on the walls..........YUCK! BLUCK! ICKY!

The pictures are up on the "Anyone who mentions the word" message, I think on page 4. I used the glazing technique in the bathroom (red), Bandit's room (blue) and my bedroom (brown)....all with varying degrees of success...on one or two walls. Then painted the other walls and the ceiling with complementary colors. It took my two weeks to do the whole interior of the house. Next time, I hire somebody.

I think the problem is that we have so many things we can and want to do in a limited amount of time. I don't want to miss any convention activites, if I can help it. So, in order to do that, we need a schedule or ITINERARY! As for the things we're doing before and after the actual convention, they require a minimum of planning: PS's, tickets, things like that. After this trip, we can all go back to our old ways.:D
Steve, the walls look great! I love the fact that there's actual real colors on the walls instead of "beige", off white, "french vanilla". I am impressed!
Tia, can't wait to see the finished project. The ceiling looks great!
You guys are inspiring me. I have Little Mermaid wall decorations that are just waiting to be put up in my bathroom. We have a garden tub that would excellent with the Little Mermaid surrounding it! That may be my fall project!

Barb, you just gave me an idea......my DH LOVES The Little Mermaid movie ( I tease him about having a crush on Ariel and always looking at her 'seashells' LOL), and I think I could see Little Mermaid theme in our master bath.......I'll have to run that by him! :)

Steve, your walls look beautiful! Very masculine look to them! It's amazing how dang long it takes to paint, doesn't it? I feel the same way.......if we could afford it, I'd call someone right now! Afterall, professionals have the technique and THE PROPER TOOLS! We're definitely going to have to have someone do our entry way because it's 2 stories high, so 'scaffolding' will be required! Let me see if the camera is charged and I'll take a picture of the orange half of the room......I LOVE IT! The red color that I chose is too 'pinky', so I'm heading back to Home Depot for Redder Red.....going for Chinese Dragon this time....hang onto your hats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;)

I'm standing in the Orange eating nook and looking towards the kitchen. Beyond the kitchen (through the archway) is our formal living room.....this one is going to be Purple/Plum colors! :bounce:

I cannot see it:(

My DH upgraded my computer this past week, now all I see is little red boxes in places where I should see pictures.

:) Thanks you guys. :) The purple and plum rooms are going to be MY FAVORITE! :D

LOL Lauren! ;) I love my pinapples....in fact, I'm thinking about doing a tropical fruit motif in here.....which means I need to do away with all of these teacups and saucers, teapots, pastel dishes, pastel nic-nacs, etc. Shhhh, haven't told DH about this yet! ;)

Tia, it's okay, you can tell US the truth. You are really decorating around Mickey, aren't you? The mouse colors are all there, a little black accent here and there, and you're all set! hmmm....shopping in the world! Uh-Oh, better warn your DH!;)

Thanks guys! :) And yes, I would like to do some shopping at DIS-Con.....LOL :D

Actually I've been searching for posters of tropical fruit...namely pineapples. No luck yet! :(

I am also looking at roosters for a 'theme'. I'm not big on 'themes' because I get tired of them, but with colors this bold, it's difficult to add pieces and parts. We'll see. ;)

If you need more fruit for your room, I'll just call Carmen Miranda and she can drop by on evenings and weekends.
