We recently purchased a pop-up and have only used it once. We will be camping at FW in May in loop 600. My question is about the grey water. Since we will have sewer hook up does that mean we can hook our grey water hose to that also. We are very new at this so I apologize in advance if this is a silly question. Thanks for any help!!

Yes you can run your gray water hose right into the sewer without any problem.

Grey and Black water both run through the same sewer hose into the sewer hook up at the campground. You generally keep your black water(if you have a bathroom) closed...and only empty it when it is full(we pull a lever)..it then runs through the sewer hose into the sewer conection in the campground. With the grey water...we keep that lever pulled to open all the time.

Thanks for the help. Can you tell me if we need to get a special attachment for the hose?

Thanks,

Lori

Lori,

While an adaptor is not a must, it is nice to have around if you plan on uisng sewer sites on a regular basis. While Disney does not require it's use, there are some private campgrounds that will not allow you to just drop you hose done the drain, it must have an air tight adaptor (to keep sewer gas from escaping I have been told.

If you check out my Gray Water Web Page (http://www.popupcamping.info/GrayWater.htm) yiou will se my adaptor in the top picture, which happened to be taken at Fort Wilderness.

Most well equipped RV stores have them (OK, RV places that cater to pop ups have them; or they are available on the Pop Up Times web store (http://www.popuptimes.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=grayseal&Category_Code=RV) for $15 including shipping.
