Has anyone eaten at Trails End without PS, since PS was established there?
If so, what was the wait time like?

TIA

Nope, when did they do that?

Don't know why they bothered with that change. It wasn't broke........

Isn't Trails End a cafateria style eatery?...You need a PS for this?

I was surprised that they did add this and I have never had to use PS for eating at Trails End in all the times we have stayed at FW.

I never had a PS . All they do if it is busy is give you a pager. The one and only time I needed one I only waited about 10 MIN. :cool1:

Oh brother. I love that place for an impromtu kind of thing. I can't imagine making reservations for it. Good grief. Totally agree with the "aint broke" statement. Grrr.

I don't know that you NEED PS, but I do know that they now have PS for Trails End. WHen I tried to schedule for 8am breakfast they had nothing until 8:40a.m. I asked if they knew how long the wait usually is without PS and she said they don't encourage going without PS. That's why I'm wondering how long the wait is without PS.
PS started Feb this year, If I remember right.

Linda

ps, no pun intended.
I am with the rest of you. I never had a problem with any wait I ever had there.

We were there on President's Day this past February. I did make a PS for our dinner, and I am quite glad that I did. I have never seen so many hungry folks as I did when we came out from dinner and they were still waiting.

We went for breakfast twice that week though without PS and were seated right away.

I would make PS for dinner if I knew it was a busy day or time of year, otherwise I would just wing it.

Thank you Pammypooh,

We will be there during the Memorial Day holiday. So, I'm glad we have PS.
Was just hoping to be able to go a little earlier and be able to be seated relatively quick.

Thanks again.

We had dinner last week at Trails End without a PS. They gave us a pager and our wait was about 15 min.

Just to let you know our experience...
We ate dinner dinner there one time during our spring break trip, waited about 90 minutes. We even asked about sitting downstairs near the bar area (the place that feeds you pizza/nachos). The CM told me that there wait time was the same as upstairs. UGH!! We had to wait.
If you can, make ressies...unless you want to gamble and possibly wait!
Breakfast (on the other hand for this trip) was no problem.

With a party that large--- I think you should make a PS...just have one person be responsible for cancelling if necessary.

I thought they only charge a "deposit" for character dining.

Your other option is to go right when they start serving dinner. Our Wishwalker Marathon Team had someone go at 4pm---it was a VERY large group (bigger than 22) on a Saturday night and they were seated without problems. Obviously before PS, but no trouble at all :).

We tried to eat there last Friday night. It was about 7 pm, and we thought that we would just go and see how busy it was. The hostess said that the wait would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours! There was not way that we were going to wait that long to eat at Trails End, so we went elsewhere.

Guess it would have helped to have those PS's. But sometime you just want to go there the spur of the moment....

I'm hoping these long waits are only due to the large crowds at WDW at the time. If theire pretty much an every day thing you can bet they'll be upping the prices to cut down on the demand, and we don't want that!

Maybe we can start spreading a rumor that they serve 100% pure, honest to goodness, real bug juice :rolleyes1
