WeightWatchers is great. I put on 4 stone during pregnancy and lost it all and more, mainly due to WW.
Go along, get the info, count points, attend your class each week. You WILL lose weight. I averaged 1lb a week but I was breastfeeding at first, so allowed a larger points allowance.
You might lose a stone and a half to two stone in 14 weeks if you really stick to it.
Lots of luck

good luck with WW, i have been making myself go to the gym for the last 6 weeks or so, almost quite enjoy it now, in a sick way! have always hated exercise, too lazy to turn tv over if remote is not near by, but florida is a great motivator, good luck, sure you can do it! :cool1:

Good luck, even if you only lose 1/2 the weight its better than nothing. Its a good idea to start walking for at least 30 minutes a day. The last time I went to Florida we did this, and managed to walk for so much longer around the parks. We did'nt have the luxury of a car over there, so we used public transport or we walked.
I was a lot more fitter when I came back, and managed to lose another 7lbs on holiday - this was mainly due to all the walking we did, plus I drank loads of bottle water there because the weather was so hot. Big bonus for me was I did'nt eat as much in Florida only a light breakfast and evening meal. We snacked mainly on fruit and salads, and i made healthy choices with our evening meals.
My only weakness was for Popeye's fried chicken a dish not to be missed, we managed only two visits to their restuarants on that trip.

Did you eat at the Deli in the Rosen Centre? One of our fellow forum members said it did really good sandwiches. What did you think of it if you tried it and do they sell fruit? Many thanks, we are staying there is July.

Hi Wicket2005,
The deli at the rosen centre did sell fruit when we were there , the salads are quite big, enough for 2 people. The deli is open for 24 hrs and there is plenty of food options - the prices are quite reasonable as well.
Do try a meal at the cafe gauguin they do a all you can eat buffet , which also has different salads and plenty of fruit options.
A tip for you: Most of the rooms at the rosen centre have been renovated, and they look excellent - if you remember request one of these rooms - or email your preferred choice 3/4 days before your arrival. I personally can't wait to go back in September.

Hi Maureen, thanks so much for all that information, it is much appreciated. I didn't realise that the deli sold salads too, I think I will be well catered for here. I cannot wait to go. :)
Best of luck to those wishing to lose weight. Remember you can do it. :wave2:

Mushmadness - 20.5lbs wow - wot did you eat???
I too have loads to lose, won't go into detail here but I though I'd give you a brief update on what I am doing and the progress I've made.
I have lost 5.5lbs in a week, I've walked 3 miles each night for six nights during that week and have been swimming once. Now I tell you, I do look like Shamu in a costume (and soooo not cute) BUT I decided to brave it and just get in the water as quickly as possible - once you are in there no one cares.
For breakfast each week-day I have weetabix and semi skimmed milk, a salad for lunch - all veggies sometimes tuna, and a calorie counted ready meal in the evenings. I drink loads of water. Now let me assure you that I am no paragon of virtue, come the weekends, I am good during the day but let go at night (ie had a pizza on Saturday and wine). It seems to be working though...
So to everyone else out there who wants to lose weight - do what's right for you and GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Sorry guys I hate to say this but 20.5lb in 2 weeks is too much - that is dangerous. I don't what you did to lose it that fast but I wouldn't recommend you continue as you could seriously damage your health. I know when I go to the blood donor place they ask if I am on a diet (routine question) and they say they won't allow you to donate if you are losing more than a stone a month so to lose nearly a stone and a half in 2 weeks would have them really telling you off.
Don't mean to sound negative but please be careful. Btw I'm not a skinny person quite the opposite I need to lose a fair bit of weight myself (probably around 5/6 stone) but exercise is my problem - my diet is generally pretty good but I'm sat at a computer all day and don't feel like doing anything when I get home. I've lost about 4/5 pounds recently without really trying because I've been busy at home and while I admire all of you that have lost the large amounts that I don't seem to be shift I hate for anything to happen to one of you as a result of losing too much too quickly.
