Boy, what awful weather we had this weekend! I felt so bad for my plants/flowers since they had such a wonderful start this season. My husband and I were out at 6:30am, Sat morning covering plants in the snow. Snow wasn't expected until Sat eve, but just couldn't see my plants getting zapped when they looked so beautiful. Anyone as crazy as me!

Doesn't sound crazy at all, D4D, sounds like smart thinking! :)

I saw on last night's news that parts of Ohio really got nailed, and that thousands of people were without power. How much snow did you end up receiving?

We woke up Sunday morning to an inch or so, not too bad. Still, it's hard to believe that just a week and half ago we were enjoying record temps in the mid 80's!! :sad2:

We were extremely lucky - we only received a light dusting and freezing rain. I feel for all of the Northern Ohio people and their gardens with their 3-4 inches of snow.

No you are not crazy! I covered all my new trees. I even put out Christmas lights on some of my flowers. They look fine today.( My neighbors don't!)

We got hit last night with a frost and suppose to again tonight. I didn't cover my tulips up last night because I thought they'd be okay - they are pretty close to the house. Woke up this morning and they were droopy. Guess I'm gonna cover them up tonight if I can.
