My family and I are planning a trip to DW in Oct.
A friend recommended this site in order to help us
find a home for the week. Her family went last year
and rented someone's timeshare property. Someone
please help.

Hi Browns, Welcome, do you mean renting something on Disney property? If you are talking about the Disney Vacation Club then you would want to go to the main DIS Discussion Forum page and scroll down to DVC rent/trade and read up in that area as to what is available. You can post what you are looking for on that board. If you are looking outside of the park then I know of people who have stayed in the Marriott timeshares, some have been happy with them, others have not.
