My perennials arrived yesterday. my yard is a disaster sorely in need of raking, weeding, grub control, and mulching before I plant. It's the last nice evening before a rainy weekend and guess what? I'm sick!
Every time I put the beagles out I see my horrible looking yard and I kind of feel ashamed because the neighbors have all been out working on their yards. I hate being so sick :guilty:

Oh no Jenn don't let the neighborhood spring rush get to you. There's still plenty of time left for mulching & weeding. And goodness knows the beagles stuff can wait :goodvibes Just get well and take care of yourself first. :flower:
Last weekend here in Stepfordville it seemed like everyone had their beds done and mulched in a day (with the help of armies of landscapers). Made me feel like Eeyore slow and steady. I'm still picking up leaves and trimming and will be for awhile. The dynamic duo of Ridley (the Scottish terrier) & Einstein (the questionable border collie) have made my yard work a challenge this spring.

Lots of time left, Jenn. It's a labor of love to work in the yard. You'll get there as soon as you're feeling well.

I hope you're feeling better, Jenn? You still have lots of time, but first you need your strength back! :)
Between the snow yesterday, the rainy weather and muck, and family issues needing attention, not much is getting accomplished here either. Sometimes it just has to wait.

I'm feeling a little bit better. I still feel like I've been run over by a truck. DH is watching me like a hawk to make sure I don't relapse.
I just have so much to do that it's very overwhelming.
