I haven't seen a roll call for this date yet, so it's time to start one! :cool1:
Sure, it's a ways off, but this will give us something to do in the meantime.
We're family of four, my husband (celebrating his birthday on 9/22! :bday: ), myself, 4-year-old son, and 3-year-old daughter (celebrating her birthday on 9/21 at WDW! :cake: ). In addition, grandma and grandpa will be joining us for this one.
Anyone else on board with us???

Welcome to this thread! I knew there HAD to be someone else out there :flower: Hopefully we'll pick up a few more as we get closer.
We are also spending Wednesday at WDW - can't wait ::MickeyMo
Again, welcome. I'll be checking back every few days to see if anyone else bites. If not, we're gonna have a great big ship all to ourselves! :earboy2:

My family will also be on this cruise. I have been visiting DIS for awhile, but I am new at this posting thing. We are doing the Land/Sea trip for our son's 5th birthday. We are staying at the Poly from 9/17 until we board the Wonder. We are so excited...

Welcome Cades! This thread is finally getting somewhere!
We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside from 9/20. ::MickeyMo
My DS4.5 will be happy to hear there will be another boy his age on the ship. Is , by chance, your son a Spiderman fan?
When is your son's b-day? My daughter will be 3 on 9/21; hubby on 9/22. Lots of partying in store for us. LOL!
Your avatar says you're from Guntersville - small world! My inlaws, who will be cruising with us, lived in Scottsboro, AL (on lake Guntersville) until about a year ago. I been there several times - very pretty area!
So again, welcome! Let's keep this thread alive! :cheer2:

Hi! Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. My son does like Spiderman quite a bit, but his favorite right now is Batman. Of course that changes week to week. He will turn 5 on 9/18 while we are the Poly. We are doing the Land/Sea package so we are at WDW for four nights (actually 5 because we added on at the beginning so Cade can wakeup at WDW on his birthday) then on the ship for 3. He will be excited as well to find out that there will be at least on boy his age on board...he cannot wait to see the Oceaneer Club.
And I guess it is really a small world...we are actually no too far from Scottsboro as we live near the State Park in Guntersville and go the back way to get there. We love that area also. We are very blessed to have such a beautiful place to live.
It looks like we are going to have this ship to ourselves!

Ryan is also happy to hear there will be another boy his age. So far it looks as though Spiderman and Batman may have the Oceaneer's Club to themselves... We'll see - maybe we'll pick up a few more as we get closer :thewave:
If I remember right, my in-laws actually lived in Lake Gunterville (on the west side of the lake) but had a Scottsboro address - even though Scottsboro was further away. Anyway, I do remember the area where the park is, as they kept their boat at Vaughn's marina, and would take it up that way. Yes, a small world it really is...
Counting the days before we go! :hourglass

Welcome, welcome Victoria&Matt and poohfan - Congratulations all around!!!
Seems we all have something to celebrate - if not a birthday, anniversary, or marriage, the just the fact that we're going on a cruise!!!!! :cool1:
So where's everybody from???
We have Boston, Guntersville and Huntsville, AL (practically neighbors!) so far - where are the rest coming from? :moped:

Thanks for the welcome Sox_Fan. We're from Las Vegas. We just made our ressies for Palo and the spa. Booked a couple excursions. I am so excited. :cool1: It doesn't seem like many Disers will be on this cruise does it?
Sox_Fan
07-01-2005, 07:18 AM
You've got your ressies already - wow - guess that means we're getting closer. :cool1:
I know - it really doesn't seem like there are too many, at least so far. I'm hoping we'll pick up a few more in the next few weeks. I know there's still availability on our sailing. I suppose after last year's hurricane season people are a bit wary of a September cruise. Oh well, I'll take the chance :flower:

Yes, we got the REAS package so we could book our ressies 105 days out. We're officially 83 days out today. I can't wait. I'm a little worried about the hurricanes but like you I'm willing to take the risk. I think it will be fun no matter what. Gotta believe in that Disney magic.

Let's hope for some magic then! The hurricanes are coming awfully early this season - yikes! :earseek: Maybe they'll be all used up by the time we leave, after all, there are only 26 letters in the alphabet ! LOL! :rotfl:

Anyone else have plans?

I made our ressies last week and I am counting the hours. Miraculously, my 3 1/2 year old is now potty trained :cheer2: . I thought it might happen as soon as I gave up and booked him for Flounder's. I've changed his registration to reflect that he is now PT'd and it shows him as eligible for OC. Is that all I need to do in order to register him for OC?
Thanks in advance for your help. This is our first cruise and I'm lost. By the way, my husband is a huge Yankees fan...this should be interesting.

I'm also in the midst of potty training - ugghhhh! I sunken to bribery (Mickey pool, Mickey bars, etc :mickeybar) because when it come to accomplishing this task, then end definitely justifies the means! My almost-3-year-old is doing pretty well; I think (hope) she'll be completely reliable by the time we go. In the meantime, I'm calling this the "working out the bugs" phase.
All I've done so far is register mine via the website. I don't know that there's any more information we need to provide that DCL doesn't already have. All I know is that we will need to use our password in order to get their OC id bracelets. I'm new at this too.
A Yankees Fan!!!!! :scared1:

Hi
We are cruising Sept 22 and can't wait!! Just four grandparents without kids. We have taken our son and his family on our last two cruises and it was so much fun. The children's programming is excellent and all the staff were attentive to the children.
Now we are looking forward to kicking back, eating and relaxing! We live in central florida so it is just a short ride to the port and we are on our way!
We cruised last year between hurricanes and it was the smoothest cruise ever. I have my fingers crossed and my prayers going up for no hurricanes.

Welcome iluvscoops! For us first-timers it's great to hear such positive feedback about DCL. I can't wait to experience all it first-hand!
There hasn't been much activity on this thread for awhile - it'll probably pick up as we get closer though...
Anyone get their docs yet? Should be soon, from what I hear. Can't wait to do the dance! :dancer:

Hey Victoria & Matt!
Wedding plans - I remember those. :earseek: You will be SO ready to relax on this cruise!
Where are you staying at WDW? We'll be New Orleans Riverside - can't wait! As soon at the plane lift off of the runway at Logan, it's vacation mode for me :cool1:

I can't wait for the cruise! We defintely need the R&R. We're staying at AKL concierge level. We're really looking forward to doing the safaris.
Still haven't gotten the docs but we did get a call from our TA and we got upgraded from a cat 6 to cat 4. We're so excited. :cheer2:

The AKL! That's on my short list of places to stay at WDW. The safari sounds awesome! If we were going to be at WDW more than two nights this time, we would have stayed there - guess we'll just have to plan a return trip to again soon :)
Nice upgrade - lucky you! Sounds like you guys are going to have first class accomodations all the way around. All the better to promote some post-wedding R&R! What night did you book Palo? We booked night 3; we figured since we're scheduled to depart CC at 4:30, we'll be able to take full advantage of the day and still have plenty of time to get ready for dinner.

Got our docs today! :cool1:
I heard the dog barking so I went downstairs to see what all the commotion was about. My son came in a fedex envelope in his hand. I knew what it was :goodvibes, so I had him go ahead and open it. Now we're both doin' the doc dance!
