I hve a March 2006 trip planned. We have never stayed on site at Universal. We are planning 2 nights at RPH before our six nights at Disney POR. I have my Disney nights booked already. Should I book Universal now or wait? What are their deposit requirements? How do I find Universal discount rates?
Lots of questions :confused3

We are staying there in March 2006 as well. I called a couple days ago and they are not booking for 2006 yet. She said to try back in a month or so.
Just to be safe, we will book as soon as possible and apply whatever discounts we find later in the year.

I'd do the Universal part at the end of the trip. Your magic keys (FOTL) will get you on the rides with no wait. You'll be spoiled if you visit Universal first, then go to Disney. I'd switch things around.

That is the second time I have heard that about being spoiled with FOTL. We just have some last day traditions at Disney and I'm not sure what we would do our last day at Universal. At Disney we eat breakfast at Trails End, walk around or bike at Fort Wilderness, get our shopping done at downtown Disney and then fly home.
Any non-park suggestions for the last day at Universal?

I think that your plan sounds great the way it is. We stayed at RPH for 3 nights and then stayed at the GF at WDW for 7 nights and although we were spoiled by FOTL, it never made us wish that we did Universal last. I kinda like Disney being last...don't know why. I think your last day tradition sounds great, I would keep it as is. Can't mess with traditions that make your family happy. I think either way you will be fine!
