Ok now I see notes that you can buy an AP just for (let's just say) Dad (for the room discount) & buy everyone else in the family MYW tickets...
My question is is this cost efficient if you are going to stay 2x in 1 year (approx 7-9 days each trip). If you are going twice in a year is it just better to get AP's for the whole family?

If you are going on two trips for 7-9 days each trip, it's definitely more cost effective to get APs for the entire family. Your main decision would be whether to get regular APs, or premium APs, which include the water parks, Pleasure Island, and Disney Quest.

We have so many plusses left over from past trips, that we will only be buying regular APs. You may or may not be in the same situation.

Depending on if you are doing just tickets and room seperately. For the packages, everyone in your party has to be on the package.

We bought AP's for the whole family because we are taking 2 large and one small trip in a one year period so this makes it much more cost effective.
Its like getting into the parks "free" the second time around because you don't have to buy tickets.
Its worth it for that reason because the discounts aren't guaranteed.

Are you planning to actually go into the parks every day of those 7? If so, then APs are the way to go! If you think 5 major park days per trip (using the other days for water parks or DQ) is enough, then get the 10 day MYW tickets with no expiration and use half each trip.

yep, we would do just the 4 parks each day (no pluses).
This trip we will be at the park total of 8 days & next summer we will be there for 9 park days...so thanks for your info.. :flower:
