Can I drive to the beach without using freeway?

I want to drive to the beach from Disneyland but I want to stay off the freeway. The thought of driving on the freeway is just too stressful for me. Can I easily get to a beach on the surface streets? I will probably stay on Harbour Blvd or I might stay on Disney property. Thanks.

You should have no problem getting to the beach from the Disney area using only surface streets. You could take almost any of the main streets south and get to a beach. Which beach were you wanting to visit? Depending on which one would determine which street to take.

When we go to the beach we take Katella to Beach Blvd and keep on driving. Now technically Beach Blvd is hwy 39 but it is a surface street.

I haven't decided which beach yet--that's a whole other research topic I need to do--but probably the closest one.
