DH insists we take our own bottled water to the parks and wants to buy them at the MCO airport. We won't have a car on site so we cant go grocery store. Would water at an airport be expensive?
I was thinking we'd get those huge Aquafina or whatever brand water.. maybe just two of them and keep refilling them with water the rest of the time at water fountains?

They are going to be very expensive at the airport. As much as buying them in the park. How are you getting from the airport to the hotel? Car services will make a 30 minute grocery stop, that might be your best bet.

Try and find the Brita sports bottle at your local Wal-Mart and get extra filters for it right away. They work GREAT! :cool1:

Water at the airport will be pretty comparable in price to the parks, and possibly more expensive - definitely not worth hauling it from the airport to the hotel!

That's what I thought. I think we'll just grab a couple and stuff it in the carry on bag. Or just bring regular water bottles - non-bottled and fill it up when we get down there.
I hope the water doesn't taste too bad... I know someone who got really sick at Epcot and had to leave for a few hours because she was too ill.

The water isn't good at all....at least not to us. We are trying the brita bottles, I just got the last 2 my Walmart had.

The problem I've found with the Water in Florida is that my system is just not used to to it and it I'm just not regular the entire time I'm there. Since you're using Magic Express, you don't have the option of stopping somewhere. What about one of those Online Stores that will deliver a case of bottled water right to the hotel. I would check into that. Might be a few cents more then Walmarts but cheaper then buying it in the Parks.

MML, I agree wholeheartedly with Micki Streeter. Buy the Brita bottles and top up with ice when in the parks. These were invaluable to us last summer and you don't have to spend $2.50 every time you want bottled water in the parks.

My DBF invested in a Camel back. Its basically a small back pack (they have so many sizes too) that has a huge water thing in it. We would fill it with ice and water every morning and it would still be cold in the afternoon. Even in AUGUST!!! It was great b/c it also has some pockets in it to store tissues, my camera, ponchos, and other stuff we carried with us.
It was also flat enough that DBF didn't even have to take it off when we went on the rides.

or you could consider getting a delivery from www.wegoshop.com. They will purchase water, snacks etc (whatever you choose) from a grocery store and deliver it right to your resort. Other Diser's have had great experiences with them. If you do a search on the board, you should be able to find the thread.

If you can't find the Brita bottles in your local stores, there are lots on Ebay. Also, the crystal light thingies (either brand name or the Great Value) help the taste.

Marriedmarylander, although most of the WalMarts in the Baltimore area are completely sold out of Brita Fill and Go bottles, I have also seen them at Giant and Shoppers Food Warehouse. Look for the shelf displays with Brita and Pur pitchers and filters, and look carefully for the Fill and Go bottles.
Some of the local WalMarts do still have replacement filters, even though the bottles are sold out. WalMart sold out because they recently marked the bottles down to $4.50 and the filters to $3.50. Giant and Shoppers still want the full price of $8 per bottle, but considering the huge difference those bottles make in the taste of WDW water, they are more than worth the $8.
They have been discontinued by Brita, so stock up on the filters now if you buy the bottles.

If you can not find the Brita Fill and Go, (Which I still dont understand why they are not making them anymore) Does Publix Grocery Store deliver by Disney grounds?? I know when we stay on North Captiva Island, they deliver our products, we just have to fax the order in?? I am pretty sure there is a publix by disney grounds. :flower:

If you can get to the Boardwalk area, there is a store called the Screen Door that has gallon jugs of water for $2.50. If you bring any kind of refillable bottle with you, and can get the jugs back to your resort from the Screen Door, you'll be set.

We found the Brita water bottles at a northern Ohio Giant Eagle grocery discounted to $3.00 each, but no extra filters were there. (If there's a Giant Eagle in your area, it may be a chainwide clearance.) The packaging says the filter included with the bottle :earsboy: should last at least 2 months (for 15 gallons) -- so that should see us well through our stay. Does anyone have suggestions for finding straps to attach around the bottle to carry them on belts? I tried looking at a Wal-Mart, but didn't spot anything like that in the sporting goods area.
