 As I read the various boards some of you mention different discounts you receive. Are there special companies that offer any types of discounts while you are visiting Disney? Is it worth joining AAA or any other company to receive a discount? Thanks for the feedback.

Welcome to the boards! As far as I know, there are no discounts available at Disney other than military/government and AP holders (not enough discounts if you ask me).

AAA is a great thing to have but please don't base your decision to join just on Disney discounts. They offer great services and discounts on your local businesses..assuming you have an office in your town. Just remember, Disney is not a discount loving company so you won't many discounts at all. :(

Your best option is to wait for general room codes.(Unless you are AP holders or Florida residents) Unfortunately, I don't think they will be offing any, at least for this summer! You could always call and check if there is a pin code attached to your family name. This is what I did when I called to make my ressie. We ended up having a code and got the discount for our June trip. Also, if you or your husband is in the military you can go through SOG and get overflow rates. This is what we usually do. It's quite a nice disount. Good luck! :goodvibes

We joined CAA (Canadian version of AAA) when we went to WDW in 2003. The cost to join CAA was $35 I believe and we received a significant discount at the value hotels with our CAA number. (15%??? ) Starting to forget the numbers now but I know the cost of the CAA membership was worth it for the hotel discount HTH Kim

We are saving $356 off the room portion of our AAA Magic Your Way + Dining package.

I'm going to keep watching for codes, but if nothing else, we'll have our AAA discount.

I was told that I couldn't use AAA Discount for the room if I wanted the Dining your way packages. That I could use AAA, but only book a room nothing else.... was that person wrong?
