I have looked at the Ritz, JW Marriott, and Gaylord - what other true deluxe (offsite) resorts do you suggest? Reviews of those? I really want a nice pool area, but am looking at price, too. Anywhere in Orlando is fine.

Thanks so much!!!!!

I have stayed at the Ritz and the Gaylord.

Of those you cannot beat the Ritz. If you want true deluxe that is your hotel. I would think the JW is also nice, but a step down in service. They share a pool area with one pool themed as a spa pool, (great lounges) and a lazy river pool. I loved the place and can't wait to go back.

Gaylord is very nice, but it is a convention hotel (Think HUGE!) Also, my room had a shower only.

The Westin downtown gets great reviews and there is a new Omni at Champonsgate which had some good opening rates recently

The Peabody on I-Drive is an incredible and very upscale property.

Portofino Bay

"The hotel is a stunning re-creation of the famed Mediterranean seaside resort village of Portofino, Italy.
