Yeah! I've been very impatiently waiting to see what the fares would be once they released their fall schedule, and I am delighted that my family of four will can fly from Syracuse for about $950 CDN, return. Canjet has direct from Ottawa for $1470., but they only fly on Saturdays, so we would lose 2 days of our holiday, and STILL pay $250. more! ( After factoring the cost of driving to Syracuse, and staying in hotel 1 night before flight, and one night after due to late arrival time back in Syracuse).

Good deal, but have you checked Jetblue. We flew last year March break for less than that. Our daughter flew Transmeridian March break last year she had a great flight, but keep in mind they are known to just cancel flights on off season times with very little notice and apparently they have the right to do this.

Yes, I checked JetBlue, the fares range between $129-$169 depending on the flight time (each way!) , and it is a connecting flight so we would arrive much later in the day. With Transmeridian, we would arrive in Orlando at 10:15 A.M, and depart on the last day at 8:15 PM, so we, in effect, have 2 more " usable" vacation days.
We are departing on Friday morning, and returning Sat. evening; since these are popular travel days, I am not as concerned about flight cancellations on these days as I would be travelling Tues - Thurs.
Thanks for your suggestion!
