hotel in Tallahassee and ORlando

We have decided to make the trip in 2 days. (to give us all a break from the car.) Looks like our midway point will be Tallahassee. Anyone have any suggestions for Hotels close off the interstate?

We will be ariving in Orlando the next day..but our reservations for disney aren't until the day after....We are going to shop and hang out in Orlando. Anyone have a suggestion for an Orlando hotel for one day? (we will start our stay in POFQ the day after.)

Tallahassee has a bunch of hotels - there is also a Hojo, and best western close to the I10.

Last January we stopped at the Hampton Inn at the Thomasville Road exit. Brand new and walking distance from lots of dining options. (We ended up at a TGIF). On our arrival day we stayed at the Hilton DTD. It was nice to be able to walk over to Pleasure Island for dinner.

Do you recall how much$$ a room at Hilton DTD costs? (working on my budget)

I think we paid around $125. It was New Years Day and we added it at the last minute. We were planning on consuming a few adult beverages that night and wanted something on Disney Transportation. POFQ was booked solid for NYD.
