I just read on the UK site that when they arrive at MCO they have their photos taken and finger prints.

Has anyone from Canada had this experience??? Or is it just international travellers??

We flew last Sept and didn't have to do this but then again we flew from 1 US state to Orlando???

Anyone know??

Thanks

It's US immigration thing. It's on the US immigration website. I don't have time to find it right now, but have done so before when we took our relatives to the US from here. I don't think it's everyone either, they do it randomly.

It isn't random. At this time, Canadian citizens who were born in Canada are exempt from the requirement to have fingerprints and mugshots taken at border crossings. Citizens of most other countries must submit to this process.

However, if the immigration officer suspects the documentation you are using is not valid (or fraudlent) they may "request" fingerprints and mugshots.

Regardless, the process is very fast (as long as you do not have a criminal record).
