Need a head count for Whispering Canyon on 11/27

PandyPaws asked Tia to take over the PS for Whispering Canyon. So, I said I would help. We need a head count, and thoughts on what time we want to have dinner. Also, we feel we'll need at least 3 tables, so we'll need at least one more person to make a PS for a table. If we get a lot of response, we may need more tables! Come and join the fun!! As of right now, Tia is calling for a table and so am I. Thanks!!! :D

I don't think we have tables planned for this one yet. I guess we'll wait to see how many and split it up from there. Somehow we'll have to make sure we sit near each other so we can visit without bothering too many other people. You know how rowdy and silly we can be! ;) :D :p :p

I made the time for 6:00, but that's not carved in stone. We can adjust it if we need to before we make the PS. I thought by making it at 6:00, then we'd accommodate those that are arriving a bit later. I'll be there by noon, I hope. I have an early flight and get into MCO around 9/9:30. (I forget the exact time) By the time I get Mears, get to the YC, and check in, it will be time for my lunch! So I'll be there for the afternoon, probably taking a nap!!! :D

Update: Pandy is going to get a PS for 10 people at 7:00PM. I will get a PS for 7:00PM as well...because we don't get in until 3:00PM and I'm worried that 6:00PM might be 'rushing' the youngins. :rolleyes:

Barb, you could keep your 6:00PM and we that way we could accomidate earlier AND later arrivals. :D :D :D

Or maybe Barb or Pandy could get one for 6:30PM and that way we'd stagger our arrivals.

I can do 6:30. If we do 6 and you do 7, we won't have much time to visit. Or we can do two at 6:30 and one at 7:00. Do you think we have that many people interested? Should I make it for 10 people, too? Does Donna have people for her table besides her family already? Or is she waiting to hear from us? I'm only one at my table so far! LOL

Here's another thought, though. If we stagger our dinner times, we might not get the chance to sit near each other and that's part of the fun. I really want to make sure we sit as close as possible to each other. But, still, no food fights!! ;):D

Oh my goodness! This Commando needs a break! I think I'll make my PS for a table of 10 people at W.C. for 7:00PM tomorrow......and then I need to clean my house, love my children, play with my dogs, work on the laundry mountain, clean out the car, and do some grocery shopping! :rolleyes:

:bounce: I called WDW Dining this morning and made one PS for Tuesday, November 27th at 7:00PM for a party of 10. She was only able to make a PS for 2 tables of 5 people each, and reminded me that for any party of 8 or more the gratuity is automatically included. :bounce:

:) Once this joyous event gets closer and we figure out who is sitting where, I will notify the people at this table of our confirmation number. :)

Barb and Donna (aka PandyPaws), were you two as successful? I hope so. :)

Pat, Whispering Canyon is very casual and very family friendly. It's an all you can eat bar-b-que skillet meal. They do offer an ala carte menu now, too. But, as a family, we've always done the skillet! I don't remember the price for the skillet, off hand. I'll see what I can find out. Thanks for signing up.

Depending on what part of the country you're from, Whispering Canyon either has:

a. A very strange way of doing BBQ or
b. Just like home

They use the "rub and smoke" method of BBQ, rather than slathering BBQ sauce all over the ribs, etc. I thought it was very unusual, but also very good.

I'm pretty sure you're both included in the original plans. I don't know where that original list is, but there is also a list on the Magic Meeting page. I thought at one point we counted around 30!!
