RPR deposit question?

I booked our first trip to Universal and IOA for August 7-11 at the Royal Pacific Resort. I booked from the Universal site and got my confirmation emails, but they have not yet charged me my deposit on the room. I booked on March 24th and nothing yet on my credit card. I check my credit card activity every day to see if its been charged but so far nothing. Does it usually take this long to do so? If not, should I call them to make sure I will have a room when I get there? Thank you for any info!

I made my reservation for Oct 31-Nov 3 at RPR, and had the same problem. After nearly two weeks, I contacted my DU agent and she put the fear of me cancelling into them. They finally took the deposit a day or two later. :rolleyes: I'm not sure if this is normal or not, just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in the experience. ;)

We just returned from a trip to RPH for Easter week. I made my ressies in Feb. directly with the hotel. I was told that I would be charged a one night deposit to hold the room. My card was never charged...and I paid the entire balance at check-out

Marknj05, that is good to know. I was wondering when they charged you the one night's deposit on the room. We will be booking 2 rooms for 4 nights beginning of December.

My deposit got returned about 2 weeks after i had made a change to my ressie. It scared me because I was afraid that they had cancelled by ressie. Turns out they created a new ressie and deleted the old one there by returning my original deposit. i called to confirm my ressie, prepared to scream and hollow had my ressie been cancelled, however, it was not. Thank Goodness. I have not been recharged. I will have to pay the complete balance when I get there.
