Hi Guys
For some of us, our holidays are getting very close, Kaylee has only 2 weeks, I have 4 weeks and Shellbell has just over 8 weeks to go and then we can stuff our mushes till our hearts are content in WDW.
Personally I'll be glad to stop this dieting lark so I can be let loose in Pizza Planet or ANY food outlet - LOL :rotfl2:
This week (after continuing to exercise in front of the girls) I lost 1lb and I now have 3lbs to go till I reach the magical 9st.
So whether your holiday is close or still a few months out, I hope that you have all had a good week - and just keep dreaming of those huge food portions you'll be receiving in WDW or whatever yummytastic food you're looking forward to wherever you go.
Good Luck

Well done Michelle, that's a very impressive weight loss, good luck in shifting that difficult last bit (I know you will do it!!)
And Kaylee, 3 times to the gym !! - well done, I really wouldn't have the confidence to exercise in front of a load of (probably thin) people, it's bad enough in front of the girls
Keep up the hard work, and Kaylee, what do you think will be your first meal at WDW ??

You're all doing so well.
I think I need to join you. I've been steadily putting on weight over the last 3 years and although I lost some last year it's all back on again now!
I had to go to the nurse this morning for my depo (contraceptive) injection and she took my blood pressure. That was high so she got me to go on the scales :sad2: Concluded that my high blood pressure is a result of being overweight. bmi is about 29
I know I need to do something, I just lack the motivation.
I'm "only" a size 14 (well, 16 sometimes!) but would like to get back into those size 12's again before I go on holiday. Problem is, we're not going til next year so I figure there's no rush!!!

Oh well done, Mandymouse and Michelle.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
Kaylee, you should feel very proud of yourself going to the gym 3 times!! I haven't been for years, I must confess I find going to the gym boring.
I haven't lost any weight this week:guilty::guilty::guilty:I know what my problem is, I eat far too big portions:rotfl2::cake::rotfl2: so I have invested in a diet plate where you eat whatever you like (within reason!!!) but restrict the carbs and protein to sensible amounts. I have 9 1/2 weeks to DH's brothers wedding and 18 1/2 weeks to our DLP holiday so I am really hoping this will help me.:worship:

Hi Sarah, you are more than welcome to join us in our quest for the perfect body (yeah right :rotfl2: ), if you're anything like me then trying to lose a lot of weight when it's ages till your holiday just won't motivate you. May be you should set a mini-goal for this year, then go for the rest when your holiday is closer
Elaine, well done for not putting any weight on and good luck with your 'plate' :rotfl:
Well done Nat for your 1/2lb, I'm sure it won't be long till you're at your goal

Hi mandymouse. Yes I think you're right about having a short-term aim. I'm organising an auction of promises at my daughters' school which takes place on 21st May and also the week after that it's my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Perhaps I should aim to lose 10lbs by then?
& at least that way the nurse won't give me one of those "looks" when I go back in July!!
Count me in - it could be the motivation I need! What do I need to do? (apart from cut down on the alcohol!!!) :drinking1

Well I am starting my work's "Celebrity Fit Club" this week. Weigh in is tomorrow :guilty: and I am dreading it. Still hopefully iy might make me do some exercise which can only be a good thing for coping with the parks in August :)
Well done everyone on your weight loss / gym going - you're all doing brilliantly.
Sarah - I know exactly what you mean about the nurse's "looks"!

Good Luck with 'Fit Club' Karen, let us know how you got on
Sarah, all you need to do is weigh yourself once a week, and let us know how you have done, some people have joined Weight Watchers or similar, but I have just weighed myself at home, usually on a Monday morning (which means that hopefully I will be good over the weekend). If you have any tips, or lose weight eating a certain product - then let us know, a lot of the girls on here swear by those 'Snack-a-Jack' things (personally I swear at them - yuck  )
So good luck with that 10lbs Sarah

Well, I did it!
I entered the gym at 17.00, did 10 minutes on the exercise bike, 8 minutes on the rowing machine (this nearly did me in! Matthew Pinsett has nothing to worry about ;) ) and finally 12 minutes on the treadmill.
This doesn't sound a lot I know but I have not exercised for a loooong time (and certainly not in front of others :rolleyes1 ) so it's quite a big deal for me :)
I've been set a goal of 2lbs loss per week for the next 12 weeks (when our challenge ends) and it's only another gfew weeks after that till WDW so I feel pretty motivated!
The only snag is my gym man has banned me from Snackajacks and frankly I'm not sure how I'll cope (especially after trying Prawn Cocktail flavour!)

Well done Karen, I am very impressed, personally I would rather eat the 'Cack-a-Jacks' than go to the gym (and you all know my feelings on them !!! ) :rotfl2:
