Is there no one who has ever taken this? I have periodically asked this question and NO ONE has ever done this. Surely someone out there has gone on the ghost tour? Somone?

Ghost tour!? lol I've never even heard of this but that sounds great! Would you mind posting what the company running it is called so I could look it up as well? Were going to WDW in May so perhaps can try that before we leave!

I just went to ask Jeeves and put in Orlando Ghost Tours. We have looked at this for a while and thought it might be interesting but I could not make up my mind which tour I wanted.
I just cannot believe that no one has ever taken one of these. They sound really interesting. I am sure they are more history than ghost but still. WE took one in Newport RI in October and they brought this thermometer to show drops in temp indicating that there was some sort of "activity" . It was interesting none the less.

Although I have never taken either of these tours, I did have the pleasure of working with Dan Carro, of Orlando Hauntings, when we were both actors at Terror on Church Street. He is a terrific guy, and extremely knowledgeable about both the history and the hauntings of the Orlando area. I read through the websites for both groups, and based on my knowledge of the area, and my knowledge of the people involved, I would definitely say that Orlando Hauntings would be the one to take. However, they are apparently still on hiatus - at least, according to their website. So call ahead, see if you can find out when they will be re-starting. I think that whichever one you take, though, you'll have a fabulous time. Orlando is a fabulously haunted city, I grew up here, then spent the past three years living in New Orleans, and I still love Orlando's ghost stories. Go and have fun, and post a full report when you get back!!!

FINALLY!! Some useful input on this topic. I will follow your advice. I cannot imagine that others would not want to do this. I know that is not something you might do the first time you go but when ,like many of us on the boards ,we have gone over 20 times to Orlando one tends to try and find some new things to make the trip a little fresher.
Thank you so much for your input and I will file a report when I get back.

It is really surprising that nobody here has done one of the ghost tours. It's on my to-do list now that I'm back, but of course, when you live someplace you never get around to doing half the fun stuff...three years living in New Orleans, and I never once went to either of my two favorite restaurants in that city. But when you visit someplace frequently, then you're absolutely right, you start looking around for fresh things to do. Have fun on your ghost tour!!!

I was thinking that people who took the tour were just urban legends. Which one did you take. Did you use the instruments to measure spirit activity?

I did the Orlando Ghost Tour and, yes, I used the electromagnetic detectors.

That would be so cool! I'm always watching shows on the travel channel and discovery channel about haunted places. The review sounded great! Next trip we may have to include this!
