I finally decided to go with Coluzzle for a template cutting system (still haven't decided on a straight cutter yet). I picked up the Coluzzle starter kit with a 40% coupon. Now I'm waiting for a sale to stock up on their nested templates. Do Coluzzle products go on sale regularly at Joann's or Michaels?

you can use your 40% off coupons for them
or I should sell you mine - lol - I NEVER use them since I got the sizzix!

Sorry, OP - I don't have an answer for you.

PattyT - What do you use to cut ovals, circles & squares? The Sizzix? Do those sizes really cover all your needs?

Well you can only use the coupon for one item at a time and I want to buy a bunch all at once. And I have to drive 1.5 hours to get to Joann's in the US - I don't want to do that every weekend.

I look at the Michael's paper every week. I don't think coluzzle goes on sale very often. (watch it go on sale next week!) Joann's has a coupon you can use online click here http://www.savingsmania.com/savings.aspx and scroll down to the Joann's part .. They also have a code for free shipping on orders over $25. There are also coupons for the brick and mortar stores you can print out online here (7-9th) and one is for 50% off! http://www.joann-mail.com/J0259/coupons_only.html?r=0484465794

Another place you may want to try is Ebay -- you may find someone who is selling their coluzzle, or someone who has bought it with a coupon and selling it .. either way, you may still come out ahead if you shop carefully.

piratesmate: A girl can never have too many cutting systems! (..or paper, or adhesives.. or eyelets..) though her DH may disagree ;-) The creative memories system for circles and ovals is AWESOME, easy to use and lots of options. I think it was my first scrapping purchase. I love their paper trimmer too. I will confess.. I recently got a coluzzle for squares/rectangles to use when I don't want to think too hard about the mats.. I also have some sizzix for the letters and cute shapes.

Thanks Heathrow42 - I guess I'll be making a trip to Joann's after all this weekend.

I was in our local ACMoore this weekend and all they had on the shelves were 3 combo starter packs. When I asked about more templates the sales clerk told me that they were not going to carry them anymore.
Is this a local thing or have any of you seen this at your local ACM?
They were having a huge sizzix weekend though - little tvs with videos running, bins of sizzix stuff out in the isle.
I just don't know of a diecut that I would use often enough to justify buying a sizzix machine and then templates.
