Hi there. I've been on the DIS awhile, but new to this board. I'm trying to lose some weight before our disney trip in Nov. I've started working out Mon thru Fri, for 3 weeks now. Each time 30 minutes on a treadmill doing one of the programs on it. Its been 3 weeks and no weight loss at all. I know I've heard muscle weighs more, and you gain that first, but 3 weeks worth? :) So, anyone have any stories on how long it took to see results? Thanks.

YES! Give it at least a month. Plus, take measurements so you can track that way.
Besides muscle weighing more than fat, my water fluctuates so much during the month that I try to take it at the same stage of my cycle every month. Keep with it. You'll see the results soon!

I'm right there with you! I'm on my 4th week of 30 minutes on my treadmill (2 miles) Mon thru Fri and I haven't lost any weight at all either. I am starting some strength training this week, so I hope that helps me.

I started exercising before I started Weight Watchers, but I didn't really start losing weight until I started Weight Watchers, too. For me, it has to be the combination. That said, I've only lost a pound in the last month, and I'm sure it's because I CHANGED my exercise. I'm lifting heavier weights, and I know I'm reshaping myself even though the scale isn't budging.

Are you exercising and eating right? I exercise 5-6 times a week, 2 hours a day and if I don't eat right, I don't lose a thing. And I try not to go by the scale anymore. You will drive yourself NUTS!! And you will get frustrated. You need to measure yourself and pay attention to how your cloths fit. And try to do things to jumpstart you metabolism.....weight training, maybe add a cup or two of green tea to your day. And make sure to eat every 2-3 hours, healty food of course. I was just reading the other day that if you go to long without eating, your body goes into starvation mode and starts storing of fat.
Good luck and you have found a great place to come to for support and advice.

It took me about 1 1/2 months of regular exercise before I started to see the scale drop. And, it's still going slowly. I've been pairing exercise with healthy eating, but it isn't a "diet" so much as just a shift away from processed foods and sugars.
