I'm trying to post my azalea pix from yesterday, and I still don't understand the directions on the techie board. Am I just too dumb?

I don't think so!

The hardest part is uploading your picture to a website. If you can do that, the rest is easy and I could walk you through. If oyu don't know how to do that, it's beyond my realm, though. I think you can upload your pics to the DIS site, but I don't know how.

Okay, if it's uploaded, how do I know what the URL or img is for it?

If you right click on the pictures, you chould be able to pick properties and that will give you the url. (http://......)

copy that.

(where I have { or } below, insert the corresponding regular square bracket instead. If I type it in my directions, I'll confuse the computer.)

type {img}paste copied link here{/img}

That should do it. Let em know how it goes!

I'm still trying, but I can't get it to work.

I think I really am a dummie. :sad2:

You are NOT a dummie!!!!!

You're very close. There should be an http://.... before the name of the pictures. Basically, the link to the website page its on. After that, you just need to put a / before the last img.

I did it! I did it!

Thanks so much, Carrie. I appreciate all your patience with me. :wave2:

No problem. I hate to say it, but I can't see it. :(

It's very small. I was worried about the size of the image after reading on the tech boards, so I'm not sure how to make the picture larger now.

I can see it---am I the only one?

Maybe it's just me. I just see the red x like a broken link. However, if I right click on that box and past the link in my browser, I see your picture. Looks like you did the right thing.

Can anyone else see it?

Wait! Now I see it! Am I losing my mind?

No, but I'm losing mine! LOL!!!

I still can't get the picture to show like I want it to. Anyway, it was a really nice picture of the azaleas. They're so pretty, and I wanted to share. I'll keep working at it.

I'll back you up.

If someone wants to see it, it's here:

Don't know why the image thing is being weird.

I can't see the pic on the link--get a forbidden message.

I have trouble uploading pics as well, so don't feel bad.

I think it only works when you cut and paste to your browser. No idea why.

Does anyone else use Kodak for their siggy pix? I usually just post to the DIS gallery.

Here are a set of instructions. This time I saved them after typing them up. I've done these so many times only to end up deleting them.

HTH

Signature pix

Make sure your picture fits within the guidelines:
“signature guidelines say that all of the graphics in your sig have to total 35K or less, and have to fit into a 420x400 pixel area”
If your picture doesn't fit those guidelines or you aren't sure PM me & I'll do it for you.

At the top of the forum page, click “Pictures/Video”

Scroll to the bottom of the page that opens & click Add you own Disney photos Here

Check on the right side at the top to make sure you’re logged in. (For some reason I’m not always.) :confused3 If not, log in (same info as regular forums). If so, continue.

Click “Upload Photos” in upper right.

Click on the Browse button & navigate to the location you have your photo saved on your hard drive.

Highlight your JPG file & click Open (this is in the Choose File window)

Add any other photos if desired. When done, click Upload/Submit at the bottom of the page.

Add a title, description & keywords as desired and then click Process Files.

In upper left, click My Gallery.

Find the picture you just added & click on it.

Right click on the picture & choose Properties.

Highlight the entire address: URL (from http: to .jpg) & copy by pressing & holding the CTRL key on your keyboard & then the C key. You need to hold both down momentarily.

Close the Properties window & go to the UserCP.

On the left side, choose Edit Signature until Settings & Options.

To add the image to your signature type [ img ] (no spaces) then paste the addressURL of your picture by pressing & holding the CTRL key on your keyboard & then the V key. You need to hold down both keys momentarily. Once the address appears, type [ / img ] (no spaces) at the end.

Click Save Signature & you should be done.
