We are going from May 30 though June 27 if we can find one we will give it to you when you come down :Pinkbounc

We have AAA but we don't buy their package as we stay for a month

We have to buy 4 PAPs so we hope that AAA will though one (diamond parking) in. We have been a member for 18 years

If you buy your PAPs from AAA they should give you one. I bought only Park hoppers (no package) last year and I got one. This year AAA did not have the 8 day passes so I had to buy my tickets elsewhere. So, I am with out a diamond parking pass for this year. :(

We used it all the time. It is great at Epcot and AK.
Not quite as good at MK & MGM.
We like to take large strollers with lots of stuff ( snacks, drinks, diaper bag) this is not so easy to load on to a tram.
I found we could walk from AAA parking as fast or faster than It took to wait on the tram. Also we always know were the car is. :banana:

It is a pass for a designated row in each park... usually next to or close to the handicapped parking.

When you say "old" one, do you mean prior to 2005? Do they make new ones every year?

I have AAA is there anyway for me to get one? We have handicapped tags so I dont know how much closer we can get but we cant take the trams because the scooter we need doesnt fold up :sad2:

I have AAA. When I was planning my trip. I had called to talk to the AAA travel agent.[I didn't buy anything.] He was very helpful with info. I just asked about the AAA diamond parking pass and he said oh let me send you one. I got it in the mail.

No, this pass is only good for parking in the diamond parking area in the lots.

There are blackout dates for the pass but the only place it's blacked out for all of December is Magic Kingdom. It is blacked out at Epcot and MGM from Dec 24 -31. There are no blackout dates at all for AK.

If you are a AAA member you can stop in and ask for the pass. They will also give it to you if you buy tickets through them. We used it in november, and it was awesome- SUPER close parking.

CT AAA won't give you a parking pass unless you buy a package from them. I have asked numerous times.

I think it depends on the AAA store as to whether or not they will just give you the pass.

I stopped in yesterday to the one across from my office and asked about the passes. The manager said that you had to purchase it with a package, but told me to wait a minute.... she went to the back to see if they had any left, and if they did she was going to just give it to me.

Unfortunately, she didn't have any passes- they had already sent the surplus back to corporate.

So I guess it doesn't hurt to stop in and ask!

In NC they give it to you if you buy your PH's there (or MYW now, I guess).

During busy seasons, the AAA sections fill up pretty quick--you have to get to the park soon after opening to use it (esp. AK--think it is the smallest amt. of parking of all!). But OTOH, if you are getting there first thing anyway, the regular parking will be pretty close regardless. So it's not always a great benefit....

In Jan. most of the parks (all but AK) didn't even have the AAA parking available. At the time I wondered if it was being phased out, but when we returned in March it was up and running again.

BTW, if you have your AAA card with you, you get a discount at the Earl, something we don't get with either AP or DVC. Yum.

At my AAA (maryland) they gave it to me without buying anything. I went back the next day and got another one for my mom, and they gave it me without any problem.

I called our AAA office in xxxxxx. They said we needed to buy a ticket from them and I said no problem (not a package - just the ticket). When she asked which ticket I wanted I told her an annual. She then said they didn't sell annuals, just 1-day or 4-day hoppers. I explained that we really dislike loading/unlaoding the stroller, don't need the 1 or 4 days - really need the annual. She went to check how many passes she had and then came back and said she'd send me one. But I'm not supposed to tell anyone. :)
We are leaving DW the end of May but won't be home until after July 4th weekend. If we get your address we can mail it to you - or get your hotel name and leave it there for you. :flower:
