okay, i know it just cant be me but besides bad PMS I am starving a week before my "friend" :rotfl: & i mean starving- i call it my hungry day but it usually last for a few days- what to do? i have cheated several times because of this then have the greatest guilt possible! :sad2:
any suggestions as to how to get past these few terrible days- i also really crave chocolate at this time when i am normally not a big choco-holic :confused3
TIA :wave2:

I tend to be a bottomless pit! I allow myself a little extra on these days. Chocolate helps with the mood too. My dh found 85% cocoa dark chocolate bars. Very lc, for chocolate. I love dark chocolate, though.

Oh, you are NOT alone! :) I'm a few days before TOM right now, and want to eat everything in sight, with an extra special focus on anything chocolate, peanut buttery, or salty! It seems to balance out for me though, as for the first few days of TOM, I don't want to eat as much (maybe because of that bloated, crampy feeling?). :crazy2:
I wish I could say I didn't give in to my PMS cravings, but the truth is, to some extent, I do--I just try to keep it in moderation. To deny my body it's chocolate at this particular time of the month would be just evil! :scared1:

This is a classic symptom of pre-TOM! My teenaged DD and I are on the same cycle and we laugh about our ability to clear the house of food during those few days per month! :teeth:
I admit that I give into my cravings, but I try not to overdo it too much.

I don't get extra hungry, I just get POWERFUL cravings. Normally it is for either peanut M&Ms or brownies. It is very specific. If I try to eat something else instead, the craving continues. I've learned to give my body what it is asking for in this situation. If I don't, I'll eat a lOT more trying to avoid it and normally eventually eat what I'm craving too. Make sure this is not what is happening to you.

I'm a one woman eating machine at that time of the month. Try not to cheat although sometimes the need for chocolate is too great. Usually fill up with fruits and veggies.

I definitely understand what you are all talking about. I satisfy my chocolate craving with jello fat free chocolate pudding. I satisfy my salt craving with fat free sour cream and onion pringles or the new lays light barbecue chips. All of these options are on plan for WW and very do-able.

I am another that is right there with you. It usually hits a couple of days before and really lasts through the week. I try to keep a handle on it, but I sometimes just have to fill the urge. I guess there could be worse things.
