What is the average discount offered in the peak season for the resorts? I will be going Feb 18-25,2002 and was wondering what the discounts would be? A comparison from this February from anyone who used it for resort discounts would be appreciated.

We stayed at the DI bungalows at the end of March, which is peak season. Room was $121 per night tax included with an AP discount.
We stayed the week before Easter in April and we got the Poly FOR $189 with an AP rate. There were a lot of peek season discounts this last year so hopefully the trend will continue.

They do not raise the washing machine prices! REALLY!
However, I think the week you are looking at going is President's Day week which is normally not a good period for discounts of any type! Last year we even had a horrible time getting a rental car, much less a discount!

Thanks for the info, cheering competition going on at Wide World of Sports, that is why I have to be there for those dates, otherwise I would be going down my usual time of the beginning of February for the value season.

As the previous posters indicate the amount of the discount, no matter what the season peak, value, etc. is directly tied to how quickly the rooms are filling up. I don't care what the chain--Disney, included, if the rooms aren't booking there will be discounts, no matter what the season. Empty rooms generate no income for the company.
