We're checking in on Friday :bounce:, for our second stay at OKW since becoming members, and for the heck of it, I called the front desk to add another request to the two I had already, those being non-smoking, and close to my brother's unit - I wanted to see if we could get an upper floor, rather than first floor - I told her that the higher the better, we don't mind doing the stairs at all. The request was noted but the CM told me that most 1 bedroom units are first or second floor, so to not expect anything higher than the 2nd floor.

Are these dedicated 1 bedrooms she's talking about then? When we stayed last visit, we had two 2-bedroom units, both on the 3rd floor, and I would have sworn that the Studio part of those had their own door so they could be made into seperate Studio/1 bedroom units....or am I dreaming. I was really hoping for a wonderful view like last visit.

Glad I put in the request for our room, as we didn't want first floor at all...whereas for my brother with toddlers and strollers, 1st floor might be a better deal for them.

We stayed in 1 bedrooms the past 2 years, bldgs 26 & 28. Both were on the second floor with a lockoff studio next door on the very end of the building and with no one above us. Both buildings were setup with a studio & 1 bedroom on the first & second floors on the ends of the building, no third floor on the ends, the middle of the building had 3 floors and they looked like dedicated 2 bedrooms. To my knowledge, there are no dedicated 1 bedrooms at OKW. There are alot of handicapped units on the first floor, a friend got one on the other end of building 28 (1 bedroom also).

I'm not sure what type of room is on the third floor. One way to try and remember if you were in a lock-off or dedicated 2-bedroom (other than the door) would be....did you see a microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker in the 2nd bedroom?

The good news -- the second floor views are quite nice.
But, if there are any one-bedrooms on the third floor, I hope they give you one since you "volunteered" for the stairs! ;) Have a great trip.

Most of the space on the third floors of a building is occupied by the second floor of a GV.
