We are flying out of Chicago in July to go to WDW-anyone know of a inexpensive/safe/clean hotel near midway or close that would offer park/fly package? We have on hold a reservation at HI Express near Midway that will cost us $169 for 1 night stay and hold our van. Is this a normal cost in Chicago?

We flew out of Midway summer of 2003 and our park and fly was cheaper then Minneapolis. I had reserved thru AAA so they found the hotel for us, but it was a Days Inn I'm sure you can find by calling them. We paid less then $80 for the night (can't remember exact cost now). We've also used Days Inn in Minneapolis and it was under $100. You may have to call their 800# to find out about park and fly rates, I haven't seen that option when trying to reserve online.

You can park at the airport, remote parking, for $10.00/day. I'd go with this option if my flight was at a reasonable time & it was cost effective. The area near Midway, IMO, is a bit scary looking.

Try using Priceline or Hotwire, and I have used the guidelines from these 2 bidding sites - really helpful in getting a great price!
