Okay, I know at least two more people have booked. Bumping this back to the top because:
1. I hope Mike or Jen see it, and
2. We just broke the 300 day mark.

Our group numbers keep fluctuating. One couple is pregnant, so they're waiting to book until after she delivers in November. Gotta make sure everything's okay with #2. We think they're leaving the new one at grandma's and bringing the 3.5 year old. We think.
Never stayed at PO. It looks pretty neat, though.

If anybody else is planning the land part, the March 2006 hours are now out.

Has anyone ever done any of the excursions? They do seem pricey but are they worth the price. One year Dh and I vacationed w/o the kids in the Mayan Riveria (Mexico) and we did this excursion that cost us around $90 US which I later found out had we done ourselves would have only cost $12 US. I would just like to go to the beach and lie around. My dd's seem interested in the stingray excursion though. Any info about excursions.
Also, what kind of weather should we expect on the cruise in March?

The only official excursion we've done (this is our third DCL cruise, all on the Wonder) was the Atlantis walking tour in Nassau. It was nice, but a haul. The first time we just wandered through Nassau.
I have no idea what the rest of my group this time will want to do. I think we'll figure it out over the next few weeks and start booking.
I will say I get my fill of beach time at CC, over at the adult beach. It's the most relaxing place I've ever been to in my life. Put my toes in the sand, and a guy with a tray brings me something frothy in a plastic conch shell. Ahhhh... :cool2:
jlowejd5
11-24-2005, 12:23 AM
But more importantly (at least for those of us who are doing this cruise on the back end of a Land/Sea...
100 days to go!!
Tomorrow, we become Double Digit Midgets. And it could not come soon enough.
:dancer: :dancer: :dancer:
Meshee
11-24-2005, 07:58 PM
Oh My! Are we really almost at the double digits?
jlowejd5
11-28-2005, 01:36 AM
Absolutely!! We're double digit dancing, folks!! Christmas Eve marks 70 days, btw.
And with the park hours already out, we know we're doing Sunday all day at the MK, with the EMH that night. Most of our traveling group has never been to Disney, so we have to start with Main Street and the Castle. We also know we're ending on Wednesday night with Fantasmic at the Studios, and probably a character breakfast Thursday morning before the bus.
After that, it's nothing but relaxation.
Houzer
12-01-2005, 03:37 PM
WOW, I just can't believe how time is going by!!!! We are still trying to figure out transportation. We are flying in on the Sunday and we haven't decided what to do because we would like to rent a car but we would also like to take the Disney Bus which seems to much easier. Our dilema is that we are not staying only one week we are coming back to Disney Pop Century for the following week and I don't know if the Disney Bus would take us to Pop and then back to the airport for the price of one week?? I have to make some calls to Disney yet and figure this one out. UGH!!! :confused3
I don't think we will do anything as far as an excursion...I am thinking we missed out on a lot of beach time on our Janurary 7day Western and the hour we did spend their was just not enough for the kids. I am thinking a beach day would be great for them.
What are others doing about telling your children have you done that yet...we are trying to figure out how to surprise them for Christmas??? Not sure how to do that though??? :hourglass Time is running out for ideas, I am going to have to think fast.

Hello everyone,
Well we rebooked for this cruise on The Magic Thanksgiving 2005 cruise. My wife and I will be taking my son and GS (First Time cruises) on this one.
Now that I found the thread. I'll have to go back and catch up on the back posts.
On the Thanksgiving Cruise, we had in excess of 50 DIS families that we knew of. There is a trip report on the report boards with some fantastic pictures. We all wore LIme green shirts at the sail away and in the terminal. It was a blast.
This will be our 3rd Wonder cruise (5th DCl) cruise in all.
Looking forward to begin a new set of DIS friends.

Hi again everyone (wow it has been ages since I last posted here). Yes the southern ON weather right now has been a real drag. I still can't believe we will be cruising in about 2 months!! I am definitely looking forward to the sun. :sunny: Has anyone ever been in March (I've been to FT. Lauderdale 2x and it was great) and I am wondering what kind of weather to expect?
Well we went ahead and booked the Stingray excursion for Nassau, I hope it is worth the price tag. And we are in the process of renting DVC points (though I am a bit nervous still about this) to stay at Vero Beach for two days after the cruise.
I better go check on my kiddies....Happy Planning everyone.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to update everyone. WE'll be going down on Tuesday before the cruise and will be staying at Old Key West (DVC) on the return we'll be staying until Tueday at Saratoga Springs (DVC).
The only excursion I've booked so far is the fishing trip at CC. I did this on our Thanksgiving cruise and had so much fun that I decided to do it again and take my son with me. It is pricey but well worth the money.
Hope everyone had a magical new year. :wizard:

We're leading the charge of (at last count) a party of ten for this trip. Only six of us are coming on the ship, but we've got the whole group for the front-end Land portion. And DW and I are the only ones who've ever been to Disney. We're heading up to Cleveland (where the rest of the party is from) in a couple of weekends to see everybody, hash out the last minute plans, and be the Disney Geek I know I am and answer any questions people have.
I find myself sometimes caught between just telling people what to do (because I know it works) and making sure everybody feels invested in this and has a good time. It's been nice, though, as the rest of the group has pretty much told me to make the plans, because they just don't care. I'm cool with that, but there's always the worry that somebody's going to get skipped.
Like, f'rinstance, DW and I think that Test Track at Epcot is very overrated, and, while fun, isn't worth a wait of much more than 20-30 minutes. I'm just hoping that, if the TT wait times are (as usual) 60 minutes or so, I can convince them to either FP it, or move on to Soarin' or something else (and do it without sounding like a jerk).
Meh. In the end, even a bad day at the World is better than a good day at work, so I think everybody will be cool about it.
I also just finished making a big calendar to hang on the wall that goes from now until the first week of March. I love making big Xs through the days. Like counting down to Christmas or something. Whoo!! :jumping1:

Oh, and DWs passport came in the mail today. That didn't take long. She mailed everything in about a week before Christmas, and it arrived today. Not 100% sure we HAD to have it this time, but I think it's easier to just have one than have to carry all the other ID (and worry about something happening to the birth certificate or something).
I guess that seals it. Spent the money on the passport, now we have to go to Disney.
Awww, dangit... :mickeyjum :sail:

Although I am trying to talk DW into coming back down to WDW in early December to see all the Christmas decorations. Wish me luck.
For those doing the parks before/after the cruise, I learned the other day that Pirates is going down for refurbishment as of March 1st, and will be closed through June. The plan is to have it reopened by July, when the next movie comes out (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest). So no PotC while we're there.

Hi everyone! The docs have arrived and the reality of packing has began!! As Meshee know's I am not very good with this area...in other words I hate this more then labour!!
We also need a pile of pixie dust sent out to one of our little ones travelling with us. She was rushed into  hospital on Friday night by her parents and she has an advanced case of pneumonia and an ear infection to the point where she was put on an out patient list and required to go back and forth daily. She was sent to the pediatrician the next day and will be seeing another specialist on Wednesday and to get service that quick here in Ontario is amazing so we know its bad!! The doc is saying she may not be able to fly if they can't get her under controle...so we need major prayer and pixie dust for her so we can get her feeling better so she can have a wonderful two weeks.
