Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Maybe one of the you can help me. Even though we have made many a trip to FW, we have never done the BBQ. We called to get Priority Seating for our March trip, and the CM's say it is not on their system yet. I checked the priority seating calculator, and it says we can make a reservation up to a year out. We called back a second time, and yet the same thing, not on their system yet. What gives? Is the BBQ being canceled???

It is a seasonal event that may not be offered in march. Someone else can confirm the exact dates but I believe it is around may-november. If you ask the CM when it is offered for the 2001 year it would be a safe bet that next year will be similar. We went in June and even with a strong rain storm going on we had a great time.

I realize it is seasonal, but if if it is seasonal I would think they would still be making priority seating arrangments, bu the CM said he had nothing on his screen for 2002. He also went on to say that he checked 2001, and the BBQ STARTED on Feb. 28, 2001 and is going to run through the 28th of November, with the exception of Thursday of Thanksgiving Day.

Who knows, with everything else that is being changed they may not want to commit to a schedule next year until they can get a better idea of attendance. Too bad it opens on the 28 of Feb since we will be coming home on the 20th. I definetly would enjoy it more in the cooler februaury weather. good luck

Keep calling periodically to see if dates were opened for the BBQ. The show is seasonal because of the colder weather at certain times of year. If Disney sees a break in the weather they'll prolly run shows, since the event is becoming increasingly popular.:earsboy:

You wont go wrong if you can make this Show we went July 4 2000 .And what a great time we had Food Friends and a great C/w band ! GOOD LUCK
