Poly Renovations

I have heard several rumours about the renovations currently happening to the Polynesian's Tonga building. It is scheduled to open back up in early May but does anyone know what, if any, changes are being made?

I read that "honeymoon rooms" are being added and they are all going to have king-sized beds. Also, these renovated rooms will have jacuzzi tubs installed.

I don't know all of the specifics. However, the Polynesian has been undergoing a facelift building by building for almost two years now. Nothing major...fresh paint, new carpet, new curtains, etc. During our stay last week, we had new had new mattresses installed one morning. We were in Rarotonga. The Great Ceremonial House is undergoing some more major overhauls in an effort to increase the size of Capatain Cooks. The "Island Princess" shop will be moved to the front of the building where the Wyland Gallery and restrooms used to be. A new restroom has been built across from Captain Cooks where the kids' shopping used to be. Kids' merchandise is currently located upstairs where the caricture drawings used to be done.

Anybody else feel that the Poly's capacity has been raised too high for the available space? The main lobby used to feel peaceful and tropical. Now it's loud and hectic. I wonder if the renovations in the lobby will have any effect on this?
