Hello,
We flew from BHX to Orlando in 2002.
Think we ate breakfast after going through security. I dont remember there been much choice as the departure area is not that big but we had sausage and egg sandwiches. Cant remember what the place was called but like I said there want much to choose from and the sandwiches were very nice.
There is a starbucks in the departure area aswell if you just want a coffee and danish, It overlooks the runway so gives you something to look at while your waiting.

your best bet is to eat before going through security, as you can get the "full Englidh" upstairs. go up the escalator and the self service is in front of you.

I think the only place after security to get breakfast is the Shakespeare Arms pub in the departure lounge. I think they only do cobs and toast etc., not a full breakfast.
