DH and I are looking into a trip down there in August. I know...I know...the heat is horrendous for tent camping, but if we want to go, this is the only way we can do it right now! My stepson really really really wants to go and this would be the only way we can make this work.

I have a question for the FW experts...can you see the fireworks from MK from the campground or would we have to go over to one of the lagoon-side resorts?

We actually aren't going to the parks at WDW...he wants to do Universal Studios, but I can't possibly go to Orlando without having a bit of Disney magic, so this is our compromise! We plan to spend 2 days at Universal, a day or two just exploring the campground and maybe check out the other Disney resorts (something i've always wanted to do anyway), and then spend one day at DisneyQuest/Downtown Disney. We have a nice big tent and would be driving down.

You can see the higher fireworks from the beach at FW. No music. Can also see the EWP from the beach. :moped:

If you are going to go and check out some other resorts why not go to like GF or the Contempary(sp?) you can see more of the fireworks there... or go to dinner at the california grill around fireworks time they pipe in the music and you can most deffinatly see them from there...

Also if your driving down bring your bikes (if you have them that is) they are a great way to get around and see FW with out having to take the buses everywhere... or rent a golf cart there really is some much to see and do at FW its great!

Have fun!
