Check-in at Vistana Resorts

I know there was a thread that explained the different sections assigned on different days according to when you are checking in. I can't seem to find that information anywhere. Does anyone know which days, which area is given. We are checking in on a Thursday or Friday. Thanks. :cool1:

I would like this info also.. If I registered with Diamond Lane would it matter my check in days if I had a request?

Many of the sections have check in on Fri, Sat and Sunday. A few of the older sections are only check in one day. Go to http://www.starwoodvo.com/resorts/amenities.jsp?resortID=5# and click on "resort map" at the bottom of the page. All green units are Friday, blue are Saturday and red are Sunday.

well we checked in on Saturday and got the blue Springs areas - so I think it is right.

Blue is a Saturday checkin. Green is a Sunday checkin. So, Red must be a Friday checkin. I have found that if you check in on those 3 days - and especially for a week's stay - you will get a unit with the appropriate color. However, if you check in on another day (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs) is really depends on what's available and how many days you need. You could be anywhere. I find it more importantly to specify your requests - such as away from 535 and I-4, upper/lower floor, near a pool, etc. than a specific section.

Definitely, register for Diamond Lane. You will most likely be able to wait in a much shorter line. There's a separate line for DL. Make sure you get in that line if you sign up for DL.

Red is Friday check-in. You could be placed in : Spas, Palms, Springs, Fountains, Lakes or Cascades. All of these have Friday check-ins. You most likely won't be in the Courts or Falls.

How is palms and springs? I don't hear either of them mentioned.

we stayed in springs - it definitely needs work - but it was great for us.

big villa - plenty of space.

the second bathroom - the hot water never worked.

the master bath - the shower did not get hot - just warn -

the hot tub - the water got almost too hot!!! :teeth:

the carpet was worn in several places.

the kitchen was fine and they even have new cookware - some of it so new it still have the labels on it.

the clothes washer/dryer were small (the stackable type) - but they worked fine.

our room was next to where the maids got their assignments each day - so very, very busy - very early! :rolleyes:
