Anyone ever check a package with your luggage? The grocery store I shop ay has 6 packs of water for $4.50 (half liter size bottles) and I was thinking of buying a couple, some juice boxes and some snacks, packing them in a box and checking it with our luggage. USAir told me I could if the package didnt weigh more than 70 pounds. Anyone ever do this???

I have done that on the way back from Orlando with no hassel at all.
But, I do have a question. Why not buy this stuff when you get there? If you have a car there are plenty of markets there and the price is comparable (not at Goodings) at most of these stores. Wal*Mart sells that water for about 2.50 per 6 pk.

We are not renting a car, we are using Tiffany. I guess I dont want to waste anyof our precious time there, but may decide to go with the grocery stop.
I always bring back a box of frozen farm-raised beef when I visit my family in the mid-West and have never had any difficulties. Like any luggage, there's always the remote chance it could be mis-placed :-)
