Are there any jogging trails around the resorts at DL? I'll be in training for a half-marathon in November and wouldn't want to get out of the routine with one month to go. Harbor Blvd. and Katella Ave. may be a little too "exciting."

Hmmm, no, no jogging trails to speak of, but they do have workout centers at the DL & GC hotels with treadmills, if you will be staying at one of those. Not the same, I know, but hopefully it will do in a pinch! :)

Michelle is correct, there are no jogging trails. Although that didn't stop many people I saw in the mornings during the days of my stay at the resort. I saw several joggers doing their thing on the streets and in Downtown Disney. Maybe you could try and do this too? I think it would be fun to jog around the area and look at the resort. :)

Thanks for the info!

Early morning runs through Downtown Disney and the Espalande sound like the plan. Going back to my days working at KBF, there is something about the area around a theme park before everyone arrives.

No running areas. Space is very tight.
But we did see a lot of runners just on the sidewalks around DL.
Can understand what you mean -- DH is a runner. And currently in training for his second WDW marathon! :bounce:

Luv2Roam:

My ultimate goal is to train for (and pay for) the WDW marathon in 2003. I would love to hear about that. Any packages? Etc.?

Thanks!

We bought a package for WDW for the January '01 marathon trip. But it was not the marathon package. For my money the Sports/marathon package was a rip.
I checked repeatedly last year for pricing. Disney Sports allowed NO discounts for the package. Even the package I bought was not the cheapest route. (Certainly was the easiest.) But I saved several hundreds of dollars for that package in comparison to the sports package.
1) The regular package was cheaper anyway.
2) I got the DC discount
The ONLY difference is we could not attend the Disney pasta dinner the night before. But I figured that pasta dinner would have cost me an additional $400+.
But DH LOVED the WDW marathon, and he has run several marathons/races across the country. I even thought he should do the half this year, for a different medal. But he said you miss the best part of the course by doing the half.
When he ran the Rock N Roll marathon in San Diego, he was greeted at the finish line by Elton John! He said the WDW marathon still beat the RnR Marathon!
He did post a trip report on the WDW marathon. But I don't remember which board or if it was before the board moved.
