...do you have a favourite? a special drink??

Now you can use the DDE discount at the lounges it would be rude not to visit them :)

I am looking forward to visiting the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian Resort for my Lapu Lapu :)

It's the Disney Dining Experience Audrey. Annual Passholders can buy one for $50 which gives you 20% off most food & drink places at WDW.

Kaylee, we quite liked the Outer Rim at the Contemporary - nice to have a drink there before Chef Mickey's and admire the view of Bay Lake. The furniture is very - ahem - "groovy" though ;)

What drink did you have Karen? :)

Here is a Link (http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-ap.htm#DISNEYDINING) to info on DDE.

It was the something Monkey or the Monkey Something. I want to say, Space Monkey?

It was fruity and very nice :)

If I could find a list of cocktails at the Outer Rim I could confirm :)

Not sure if this counts as i didn't have the DDE.....

I had the Most wonderful Strawberry Daqueri(sp?) at a poolside bar in POR 2 years ago, they also do alchohol free ones but i prefer the kick :blush: Have never had a better one anywhere else :cloud9:

A woman after my own heart! :teeth:

I haven't tried the Lapu Lapu at the Tambu Lounge, but I've heard you talk about it so much, that I'm definitely going be sampling it this time. Maybe we'll bump into one another there :flower: .

I'm not sure that I've got a favourite cocktail, but some of my favourite bars are:

Crew's Cup Lounge at the Yacht Club;
Dawa Bar at AK;
Mizner's at the Grand Floridian;
Tune-in Lounge at 50s Prime Time Cafe (MGM);
Belle Vue Lounge at the BoardWalk;
The ESPN bar at the BoardWalk;
Victoria Falls Lounge at Animal Kingdom Lodge;
Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge;
The American Bar at Portofino Bay;
The Velvet Lounge at Hard Rock Cafe.

We did try the Outer Rim whilst we were staying at The Contemporary in December - it was OK, but didn't really have the 'bar' atmosphere for us. Like everything else at the Contemporary, it's just sort of plonked in the middle of a huge open-plan area.

Karen - does this ring any bells? ;)

Space Monkey $6.75
Chocolate liqueur, Kahlua, creamy vanilla ice cream flavor and fresh banana

Deb - I should have known you would know all the cocktails in WDW :teeth:

Though I think this is the one I wanted but did not actually have in the end :( I know I had a fruity one. I think I wanted the Monkey but decided against it in case it made me too full for tea :teeth:

Oh yes! The Tune In Lounge gets a big thumbs up from us too :)

Deb I must try some of those Disney lounges but especially the Velvet Lounge at HRH.

The Space Monkey sounds a bit creamy for me - do you know where to get a list of drinkies available at the Outer Rim?

I love the frozen strawberry daiquiris that you can get mmm! We've only had drinks at Classic Concoctions at Pop Century and the Outer Rim bar at the Contemporary. I didn't like the cocktail I had there, there wasn't enough juice and too much alcohol - a few sips and I was swinging from the rafters. The waitress was a bit funny when I asked for it to be topped up :rolleyes: Andy liked it here because the glasses were kept cold, which is how he likes his Coors Light served ;) The Velvet Lounge at HRH is very nice too.

A favourite lounge?

That's a very difficult question to answer. It's a bit like 'which of your children do you love the most?' (Whichever one is fetching me a beer, obviously)

I think Deb's list has it just about taped.

The lounge at POR when the piano player is on is also good fun.
