What are your top tips?

Thought I'd start a thread for everyones top tips. This board has been so helpful to me as I have yet to go to Dlp myself and Next month will be my 1st trip there.
I know myself when I get back from a new holiday resort there are always things I wish I had known or that I would defo recomend or do again if I went back! :cool1:
So what are your Top tips for tackling and getting the most out of dlrp? :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Book the Fantasyland Breakfast - it gets you in the park early at no extra cost.

Don't miss the Dragon under the castle.

Eat a big breakfast and maybe make a few rolls at breakfast for later - lunchtime in the parks is pretty busy.

Buy a personalised paving stone - it's a fab feeling going back and seeing your name is part of DLRP.

Leave Peter Pan until as late as possible - the later it gets the more kids are in bed and the less crowded it gets. That or make it your first stop after your Fantasyland Breakfast.

In summer remember the two points in Fantasyland (one next to the back of the Maze, just before the Storybook Ride and one past Pizzeria Bella Notte) where they have overhead sprinklers - very refreshing!

What a great idea! Do you know how much this costs?

Good tip about peter pan. Iam going to try and do this straight after breakfast but will also try for just before park closing now! :banana:

Consider going to the Disney Village for lunch when it's busy. It can be difficult to eat in the parks unless you are happy to eat at off hours. Lunchtime in Disney Village is usually quite quiet though.

Unfortunately the paving stones are sold out. They have filled up all the space. :sad2:

In summer take in bottled water, once drunk can be refilled from water fountains, which is perfectly ok to drink.

Eat at least 1 meal (sells burger, chips etc) at Cafe Hyperion , near Space mountain. That way you can eat & watch the show at the same time.

Use fast pass.

When the parades are on, the parks empty out, it's a great time to get straight on the rides and we've always found the cast members will let you go around again and again.

Go on Panormagique, it is a fabulous way to see the parks :)

If you've got young children consider hiring a stroller, since you'll walk miles and even though they have outgrown a buggy a home it might prove a godsend :goodvibes

Get to the parks for opening since you'll manage much more rides before the park fills up :teeth:

Walk to your Fantasyland Breakfast rather than get the train. It saves alot of time and it's also lovely walking down Main St and through Fantasyland when it's virtually empty.

After much deliberation I decided to stay off premises. This means the breakfast is out. Will I miss a lot? What can I do to get an early start and how early is early? do people line up and run to the rides?

Other tips... in teh first hour, you can usily do Space Mountain, Big Thundermountain and Indy, since there aren't that many people yet.
At about 5.30 pm, there is about no one anymore for Rockin' Rollercoaster, and you can go on and on and on.
Even if you don't feel like going on Indy, try to walk through the line at least once, it's nicely themed.
Mickey drives around the park in a golfcart-like thing in the afternoon. Or at least he used to...
If you stay on site, you can have your shopping delivered at the hotel, if you buy it before 3pm (check this hour!! I am not 100% sure!!)
If you stay offsite, you can pick up your shopping bags at the big Disney store in the Village in the evening.

Good places to watch parades:- seats by castle stage. You can turn up 10 mins or less before start of parade and get a great seat 4 or 5 rows back, also they reserve the first two or three rows for children only, so if they're brave enough, they can sit thereand get a great view. Only thing is if you sit here for night time parade, you miss a bit of the dancers in between the floats. Other goood spots are on the steps or platform of main street station (again u can turn up quite late & still get a good place). Also a new one for us, discovered in December, there is a pretend dentist just a little further down from where youhire the pushchairs (before you cross over for the camera shop) and there are stairs leading up to the door. The stairs are fenced off but if you leave it until just before the parade starts you can nip over the fence and go up the stairs, brilliant view! (We always left it until the last minute in case we got moved by a CM!).
Buy your children an autograph book, even if they're notreally interested in collecting the signatures, if you can get the book into the characters hand, they are 'yours' for a little longer and you get a better chance of a good photo.

:idea: Have a rough idea of what you want to do each day (a kind of semi plan), don't try to pack to much in (especially if you have young children).

:sunny: Remember you are there to enjoy yourself. :goodvibes Go in a positive frame of mind. What does it matter if you don't fit everything in. It's a holiday. :mad: :) Don't let yourself be put off by rude people, stay calm, smile and if necessary a short calm rebuke will leave them gobsmacked (figuratively speaking of course).

:) Relax, don't rush. Take time to notice the little things. Have lots of fun. Enjoy the magic of it all.

I would watch the parade outside the fantasia gelateria in Fantasyland...it's always very quiet, and you can get a yummy icecream while you wait (the coconut flavour is divine!) although make sure you get in line in plenty of time as the service is super slow!

Now the Fantillusion parade is reversed, watch it from outside Small World, then you can nip back on to loads of Fantasyland rides while everyone else is still watching it.

If the eateries on Main Street's tables are full there are usually tables free in the arcade behind.

If the map says Casey Jr is closed for the season, go and check '*** it has been open anyway with no lines.

I agree with getting a Fantasyland Breakfast.
Also, remember you can still get on a ride until closing time. For e.g. if the Disneyland Park closes at 8pm, go on a busy ride e.g. Big Thunder Mountain at about 5 or 10 minutes before closing time. You will be in the park after everyone else has left, and all the shops on Main Street are still open. It is wonderful seeing the park so empty.

Adventurland especielly Indy at Night.
When the Queue at Pinochio is long, it is often short as Snowwhite. If long at Snowwhite often short at Pinochio.
To get great Pictures of the Fantilusion go in front of the castle into the hub, their you can see the Transformations with the Castle in the backround.
Go into the Exit of the Television Bla bla bla Tour and do Cyber Space Mountain. The "Attraction" - if you can call it that way - is more boring then drinking tea with my mother in law but Cyber Space Mountain is great.
