I only buy name brands. I live in NE Ohio.
I say NE because Ohio has 4 or 5 distinct regions where people have very different opinions on things and live and vote very differently from each other.

Do you buy store or name brands? Store only? Name only? both?
I use store whenever possible but only if it is as good as or better than the national brand. SOme stores have terrible name brands, others have great ones.
Does it matter to you if you are going to eat the item or just use it like Paper plates, gargage bags, or cups.
No matter - I go by quality for all of those.
When buying items that will touch your body what % of what you buy must be name brands?
I assume you mean health and beauty aids, as most products touch your body - either inside or out. I buy products that are fragrance free so don't necessarily use the store brand rule for these.
When answering if you could include your state it would be appreciated.
Maine
I'll just add that demographics have nothing to do with my answers. I am employed in the industry and our company has excellent store brand items - we don't offer them unless they are as good as or better than the national items. I even get to sample them here at work so I have inside knowledge of how good they are. Plus I know the margins are better, so it helps my paycheck!

Do you buy store or name brands? Store only? Name only? both?
Both, it really depends on the product and if it's on sale or if I have a coupon
Does it matter to you if you are going to eat the item or just use it like Paper plates, gargage bags, or cups.
That doesn't matter. It comes down to balancing quality and cost for my family. For example with our crappy dishwasher, we have to buy the more expensive name brand detergeant. The generic brands just don't do the job. However, store brands of frozen veggies and snacks are just fine. Depends on the product I am buying...
When buying items that will touch your body what % of what you buy must be name brands?
About 75%, almost always bought on sale though or with a coupon.

I buy both store and name brand items.
Yes, it does matter how I am going use them. Food items I will only by name brand, paper products I will buy almost anything.
Both my husband and I have very sensitive skin so we only buy brand items when it comes to personal products.
