Going with a 4 month old

We're taking 4 mo old DD on her first WDW trip.
Any good tips?

We took DS to WDW at 4 months old because it was a family trip that was planned long before he was even thought of.

My tips: don't expect to do much unless you're going with other family members or friends. We were there for 10 or 12 days (lol I can never remember how long) with 8 other family members. They watched him a little, but they all wanted to have their fun as well.

I'm not sure when you're going, but if it's hot, make sure you have bottles with water (if OK with your ped.) to keep the baby hydrated.

We brought our huge stroller with the canopy that laid down flat for napping, but it was a PITA on the Disney buses. On the monorail we could just drive the stroller on.

Learn where the baby stations are in the parks.

Gosh, it's really late and that was 4 years ago. I can't believe I can't think of more. I'll keep thinking...

Just bumping this up.
We'll be taking our four month old and almost three year old - anxious to hear ideas. What do people do in restaurants (as baby is to young to sit in high chair)? Do you bring stroller in?

my dd was 4 months in january when we went (also have ds almost 3).

i would HIGHLY recommend a pouch style sling (mainly for it's ease of use and versatility). i used it constantly, including at mealtimes when i couldn't bring the double stroller into the restaurant, she would sleep in the sling or just sit on my hip in it. and it's a lifesaver while waiting in queue's. if you're not familiar with slings you should do some reading at www.thebabywearer.com it's a great resource!
i was actually shocked that i didn't see more slings while i was there. i guess most people don't know about them because i got loads of comments about mine.

you can take the baby on any ride without a height requirement, (meaning pretty much everything in fantasyland in the MK), shows etc.

we go frequently and imo it is much easier to bring an infant than to bring a toddler!

Our youngest DD took her first trip at 4 months. It was great! We took a stroller that laid flat, bottles and water (I couldn't BF due to a surgery). I didn't start DD on foods untill after we returned so we didn't carry any jars. She sat on our laps during eating times. We took a couple of receiving blankets with us each day because they make a great light shade draped over the stroller, burp clothes, ect. She loved the colors, music, and the characters too! Just take it at your own pace and just treat it like you are taking a day trip from your home (every day for the length of your stay lol) You'll have a great time!

Kelly with DD#1(6yrs) will take her 6th trip this fall, and DD#2 (2 yrs) who will take her 3rd trip this fall! They have been wonderful to take each year! :flower:

We took our four month old last October, it was great! She spent a lot of time in the baby bjorn, it was much easier then I'd expected. We were able to go on everything, either with her or using the baby swap. She loved stuff like Buzz Lightyear and Winnie the Pooh. We're taking her to Disneyland next month at 10 months, we'll see how she does then!

I bought a thing called a Sun Topper (http://www.bestbabygear.com/suntopper.html) to use also, it's been great! Just make sure you have a comfy stroller, she slept in ours a lot, we used a Kiwi e3 so she was able to lay flat.
