Would anyone recommend bring a 2.5yo to one of the water parks? There will also be a 13yo with our group and will want to keep him entertained too, but is there anything for a 2.5yo to do at Blizzard beach or Typhoon? Or would the resort pool be just as good.

This is advise from my 12 and 8 year old neighbors, my youngest dd will be 12 months when we go. They highly recommended Typhoon Lagoon for her- said there was lots to do and it was more of a "mellow" park than Blizzard Beach. That helped in our decision, also if you go to the official WDW site there are maps of the water parks and you can check out the descriptions for yourself.

I've never been to Disney's water parks with kids but I've also heard that Typhoon Lagoon has a better kiddie area. Also, we took my 18 mo DS to a local water park at the beginning of the summer and he had a blast so I'm sure your 2 1/2 year old will love it. Have fun!!

Go for it - both parks have areas for very small children.

We were at BB with my DS (2.25 y/o) last May. the child area was great. He also loved the Lazy River and the wave pool. We did get a lifejacket for him at the park which was free. It gave him a sense of freedom and some security for us although we didn't let him out of our site.

my then 3yr old and 1yr old had a great time at blizzard beach last year...spent most of the time in the kiddie slide area and the lazy river...the 3yr old used the tube without the hole and the 1yr old sat on daddy's lap in his tube...they took there afternoon nap floating around with lots of sunblock on...a great way for all of us to relax!!!
