We are taking our family vacation in May of this year. This will be our first trip to FL. We are planning 2 days at Disney, 3 days at Universal/Islands of Adventure and 1 day at SeaWorld. I've been telling my husband that 2 days won't be enough, but we just can't swing anymore because he was lucky to get the days he did for vacation....not to mention the expense.

So today we watched "Fan's Guide to WDW" (we had it TiVoed) and my husband agrees...fiiiiinnnnalllly...that we will be going back. We are thinking next year or 2 years from now...it'll depend on when I can get the money together. The next trip we will have at least 7 days and we will stay onsite.

I really thought the 2 days might whet his appetite enough for him to agree to a longer stay the next time, but I had no idea a 1 hour program would do it! I am sooooooooooo excited! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

If saving money is an issue, I'd pick one over the other. The more days you spend at WDW, the cheaper per day the tickets are. This in itself would save money. I'm not sure how it works at Universal...we've never wanted to leave Disney property once we got there :cloud9: but some research may show you which way would be cheaper.

It's too late to change anything this trip....we've already bought our Disney 2 day hoppers and our USO/IOA tickets. But I can start planning the next one! Woooo Hoooo! :cool1:

Interesting sidenote: the mom of one of the families on that show is a DISBoard member! Don't remember her name, but I'm sure you could find it by searching.

Tigerlovespooh I think is her logo--her name is Erika--she posts frequently on the resort boards.

"I" would be willing to change plans...but my 17 year old wouldn't. This is his graduation trip and he chose to go to USO....our 9 year old slipped in the 2 days to Disney and my dh slipped in the day at SeaWorld! :rotfl:
