New to the Site

Hi all, new to the site, however I have viewed it before. We (my family and I) are members of DVC (joined in 1995). Have been to all the DVC resorts with the exception of HH. Took a Disney cruise a year and a half ago. We live in Heidelberg, Germany. Got back from 12 days at VWL this past April had a blast. Plan on going to Disneyland Paris in the Spring then hopefully to WDW again in Dec 2002. Just got back from London on a business trip, I didn't stay at the Dorchester Hotel, however I did stop by...very nice.

Guten Tag, Spacedude, Wie Gehts?

When going to Disneyland Paris, are you staying on points? As you may already know, while staying at DLP on points, you also get passes into the park.

We do plan on stay with points, at the New Port Bay Club for about 5 days (Sunday through Friday). Use the metro to go into Paris for about two days. We look forward to it, I hear it's a really nice park.

We are headed for the Alps week after next, not on points however....just a short vacation. Plan on going to Southern Bavaria, Switzerland, Austria, and Northern Italy. We may stop by a few places that II lists just to check them out, not sure yet. We are also going to visit Schloss Neuschwanstein, the original castle that Walt Disney used for the castle at Disneyland. Thanks for the welcome.

My dad was stationed in Heidelberg and Nurenburg(sp?) just after WWII. I hope to visit your land someday too, since my ancestors are all from there.

We have been DVC members a little longer than you, but don't you just LOVE the options?:bounce:

Hey Spacedude, good to see someone else from Europe over here. I take it you're an American who'se currently living in Europe.

If I were you I wouldn't stay at the Newport Bay at DLP it's not worth the extra points.
It's really in need of refurbishment at the moment! Just my 2c

OK, where do you recommend? We haven't been to DLP so any recommendations would be great. We are American's living in Europe, just moved three months ago from Colorado Springs. Thanks for the 2c.

Space dude, you'll get more info on DLP on the "UK" site.
http://www.wdwinfo.co.uk There are a lot of the visitors to DLP who go on that site and you'll find a lot of people eager to help you.
