beach west of Fort Wilderness

Can anyone suggest a beach to visit in a day straight west of Fort Wilderness campground? We would like to leave our camper at FW and return that evening, but don't see any beaches close on the gulf side. Any help appreciated.

Head over to clearwater Beach this is a nice beach on the gulf, take I-4 west until it ends and merge onto Highway 60 this will take you to the beach

That's a great choice! It's about an hour (or so) away!

The gulf side is much better than the Atlantic side - especially if you're planning on swimming or looking for shells!
