Confused - What Disney Store Pins - Where??

I am so confused (not unusual) !!!!

I keep seeing postings about Disney Store pins --- none of my local stores are carrying pins -- what are the pins, how long are they being sold; where are the stores that have them? I really feel out of the loop ;) !

In October 1999 Disney Stores came out with a total of 101 pins being released at I believe 7 pins a week to coincide with the new millennium. Every once in a while you will see these pins being offered on ebay and yahoo auctions with numbers to coincide with the pin number out of the 101 pin set. Hope this clarifies.

The Disney Gallery Stores have pins for sale, such as a Snow White set, a Winnie the Pooh set,and a Mickey & Pluto Canine Caddy set.
The trick is finding a Disney Gallery Store. Do a search on this board and you will come up with posts where people have stated where these stores are.
Other than that, in September the Disney Stores ( normal variety in the malls) will be selling a new set of pins to go with the 100 years celebration of Walt's birthday. (starting September 22, I believe).

I understand your confusion. I have three DS within 30 minutes of my house, in three different malls. I have not seen the pins in the smallest store yet, only the largest ones.

So it seems that some stores are not yet carrying the pins.

This is helping..... but I still have questions ;)

1. I am familiar with the 101 set for the millenium - not what I was talking about though.

2. I think the sets you mentioned are the ones I've got questions about -- are they boxed or in frames??

3. Can you give me more info on the pins coming out in September?? How many will be released and when (each week - all at once, etc.) and what will be the theme -- just rack type pins or something special??

April 76, I believe it was in May Dizpins they had a small article on the Disney Store pins coming out in September. Try going into the May archives and see if that is the right month.
From what I understand, I believe there will be 7 pins released each week until I think November.
Each Friday Dizpins has been giving us a sneek preview of some of the pins that will be released.

I've gone to 2 different DS in the past couple of weeks, and both were unaware of selling pins. One store manager told me, if it's the end of September I'm sure we would have been notified my now, so I don't think we'll be carrying them. Is that correct? Are some stores not going to have them?

It sounds like it... Like I said before, I have several DS nearby (in Connecticut) and only two carry pins. The one that does not, is the smallest size store. The largest ones usually have the nicest sale items as well!

So it may be that some stores won't carry them, at least not just yet.
