Portofino to the parks?

New to Universal (obviously!) - how do you get to the parks from Portofino? I've been looking up rates everywhere (hotels.com, hotelkingdom.com etc) and for some reason I'm coming up with cheaper rates at Portofino than Hard Rock. I was under the assumption that Portofino was the most expensive. Any reason I shouldn't grab a cheaper rate at Portofino (fyi - have 3 kids, 7,5 and 2 so we need a deluxe room). 1. Walk is close to a mile.
2. Water taxi
3. Bus

Rates- Supply and demand. Go for the PBH if its cheaper. It is nice.

Definitely grab the Portofino if its cheaper. It is by far my favorite hotel anywhere! You will love it! We always take the water taxi when we go to the parks, because we find it to be so relaxing, and starting out the day walking to the parks isn't our thing. Enjoy!

I also vote for PBH. You can't go wrong! Cheaper-go for it! :sunny:

Sounds like I should go for PBH. What is the room layout though? I see a 2 Queen option? Is there a pullout couch for the 5th person? We'd have 2 adults in one bed, and then we need to figure out 7, 5 & 2 yr old (who won't be in a crib anymore). Do they have roll away beds?
More questions - have any of you used the kids club? It would almost be a romantic dinner without the older ones (we'd only have the baby left).

If you can grab the Portofono at a cheaper rate then HRH I would go for it!! We stayed there last April and can't wait to go back again. Everything about it was perfect!!! Can't say enough good things about it!
