boardwalk outside entertainment

i just have a question about the boardwalk..i here that you can rent bikes there but i was curious about the entertainment
do they have little shows goind on outside along the boardwalk..if so is it all dayot just in the evening
and would a 4 year old have a good time down there..thanks any info would be great..kmc

We were there the night of July 3. We went on the Illuminations Fireworks cruise & I was nervous about not making it in time, and we got there by 7pm and we didn't meet our skipper until 8:15, so we had over an hour to spend there.

The bicycles they have are acutally surreys; they had 2 seaters, 4 seaters and 6 seaters. You can ride them all around the lake. I believe they charge by the half-hour. The entertainment I saw was a strolling saxophone quintet; a bicycling piano player and other musicians. After the cruise, I saw a lariat artist, and a bellydancer who used swords & fire-eating in her show. Couldn't answer about entertainment during the day as we were only there at night. There were also a few carnival games (the prizes you could win were actually non-Disney items - Powerpuff Girls, Cow & Chicken, etc.). Also, the ESPN restaurant has a small arcade.

Our 7-yr old enjoyed himself. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a 4-yr old. Hope this helps!!

The restaurants and shops are open during the day. Most of the entertainment occurs evenings and at night. Have a good time!
