We're officially campers now!

DH and I bought a pop-up (2001 Coleman Niagra) in February, but we hadn't been able to take it out until now. DH is a part-time student, taking 9 hours at night, as well as working full time, so he's usually working on assignments every weekend. Well, this week he finally turned in all of his semester projects, and he got off work at 3:00 Friday, so we loaded up the camper and took it on our first trip.

We had a great time. We just went to a local KOA, but it was a good place to start. We managed to take everything we really needed and didn't have any major problems. The dog did well, too. We thought he would be good, but you never really know until you try it.

This just makes me want to go to FW more! Our first trip there together is scheduled for November.

Uh Oh! Now your hooked! I am eager to start camping this year. We are planning many short trips and our WDW trip is in August. Happy camping!

No, we're going the first week of November. It's going to be a lesson patience and getting along. :) We're taking DH's mom and her 3 other kids who will be 8, 6, and 4 when we go. We're going to all stay together in our pop-up for 9 days! FIL has to stay home and work, and although I'm sure we'll miss him, I can't say we won't appreciate the extra space! :D

The 2 things we forgot were the camara and the hose to hook up the gray water storage system. I'm in the midst of compiling a checklist right now to make sure we don't forget anything important next time.
